Any of you compete?

Just wondering if any of you compete in IDPA or IPSA matches?
What type of handgun and holster/mag holder do you use?
I am going to start competing in IDPA in February and probably IPSA as well. Just wondering what gear you use and how you like the matches.
This will be my first time competing with a handgun, before I have always shot rifle and mostly shotgun. Trap and sporting clays.

I'll try IDPA next may. Dunno yet with what pistol but it will be either my H&K P7 or Glock 29. My holster for my G29 will be my Galco paddle ( http://www.usgalco.com/HolsterG3.asp?ProductID=143&GunID=57 ) with . Mag holders are custom made. For my P7 I would use my High Noon holster (zero retention).

Was also considering PPC competition.

I compete in Bullseye Pistol and Highpower Rifle. I also shoot Highpower Silhouette, but not nearly as frequently, and do it as a cross-training and/or fun thing. I have done a few years of Trap shooting some ATA shoots, but mostly in local leagues, and I still like to shoot skeet, but have never done that competitively.

The NRA has a site where you can type in anyone's member number and see what their classifications are, and when they were first classified at that level. I wish more organizations did that.
