SORRY GUYS...THIS ONE IS ONLY FOR THE LADIES!!!
I'm leaving for the American River (by Sacramento, California) Friday morning and we have two extra spots that are already paid for. My roommate, who had to have emergency surgery yesterday will lose the $300 she paid for the trip...
...that's where YOU come in! I know it's late notice, but she would be willing to give her spot for only $150. If you can make your way to the Long Beach/Lakewood area, you can even hitch a ride with us.
Here is a link to the rafting company and campground...South Bay River Rafting
Let me tell you, I went last year and had a total blast! ALL THE MEALS ARE INCLUDED...
Here's a little sample for you from their website:
With South Bay River Rafting it’s just par for the course–the dinner course, that is. Here's what you can expect from SBRR’s full-time culinary staff. Oh, did we forget to mention that meals are all-you-can-eat?
Breakfast
After a restful nights sleep along river's edge, you'll awaken to the aroma of farm fresh eggs, pancakes, bacon or sausage, potatoes au gratin and freshly brewed coffee. Complemented of course, by fruit, juices and cereals.
Lunch
After building up a hearty appetite on the river, you'll consume mass quantities of build-your-own fresh deli sandwiches, with all the fixin’s.
The second day it’s a cheeseburger (not to mention turkey and chicken burger) bonanza, with hot dogs, chips and homemade guacamole. For those souls strong enough to resist such temptations, vegetarian menus are available with advance notice.
Dinner
Start off with a chilled shrimp salad, then dig in to a big, juicy steak or chicken breast, with lobster. Add a baked potato and a cold keg, and you may not have room for the dessert of cake and ice cream. But you'll manage somehow, we're quite confident.
