Anti-Israel Thread

Was reading an article on firestorms bombing over Dresde and Hambourg and I was wondering how this would compare to cooking jews in oven, since both were done intentionally.

Dresden and Hamburg were both industrial cities and therefore were targeted to stop the production of war goods.

With the jews being put into ovens as well as Americans, Pols, etc, they were illegally held, were not a threat, and were tortured and incinerated for no other purpose than to make them suffer. The jews, pols and others that were not in the military were non combantants and posed very little threat, and even if you were a pow, you still pose little threat at that point. And no in this world warrants that kind of hell.

? Israel is not torturing and incinerating the Arabs, but the PLO is sure targeting the jewish civilians.

What is it that the jews are doing to the Arabs? Or did I read the question wrong?

I think he is pointing out that chooser either is merely choosing a lesser of two evils.

Israel targets areas known to have innocent children. Israel kills just as many (if not more) innocent bystanders as the PLO.

Neither side is right.

Why choose either?

If you want to choose a side, choose the one who was there before the creation of the UN state of Israel.

If the UN wanted to make good to the japanese (for hiroshima) and gave Japan half our country, you'd better be damned sure I'd be fighting for my land back too.

I hardly believe that the Israelis have killed more innocent civilians than the plo. In fact I know it is not true.

As for who was there first, some of the oldest text, (bible included) puts Israel there long before the palestinians. Hell, even the Romans could lay claim to that area as they ruled it for a very long time.

I'd have to think that the PLO, armed with bombs, rocks and rifles would kill off a lot less than a nation (with US backing) that has tanks, missles, fighter jets, naval ships and an actual army.

But like I said, neither side is right. Choosing either is simply choosing the lesser of two evils, period.

April 3, 1949 Armistice - Israel and Arab states agree to armistice. Israel gained about 50% more territory than was originally allotted to it by the UN Partition Plan. The war created over 780,000 Palestinian refugees who fled or were evicted from Jewish held areas. Gaza fell under the jurisdiction of Egypt. The West Bank of the Jordan was occupied by Jordan and later annexed, consistent with secret agreements made with the Zionist leadership prior to the initiation of hostilities.

Sept. 28, 2000 Palestinians initiated riots after Israeli opposition leader Ariel Sharon visited the Temple Mount, which is also the location of the Haram as Sharif holy to Muslims. Violence was apparently encouraged by Fatah Tanzim, as admitted by Marwan Bargouhti. Violence escalated rapidly from rock throwing to machine gun and mortar fire, suicide bombings and lethal road ambushes, including some incidents instigated by settlers against Palestinians. Israelis killed 15 Israeli Arabs in riots in September/October 2000, and over 1,300 Palestinians in retaliatory raids thereafter. Palestinians kill nearly 500 Israelis. Violence continues for over a year [to present - May 2002].
