I do squats once a week. Well when im doing my squats I feel like im getting a good working out (sometimes my stance is a little messed up) anyway after im done I think i had a good leg workout. Well when i start walking around I realize that I didn't. Could somone please post there squat workout so I have something to work with?

thanks

i think he is saying that once he stops doing legs he doenst feel the effects like msot guys do,for when i walk after i damn near fall then my muscles catch and i dont,i think that he doesnt feel that

i do about 5 sets of squats, right now im doing 8 since i cant leg press cuz my back is dinked

I like doing my last set with lighter weight and either doing front squats deep, or rear squats supper deep with a pause at the bottom.

if you go with feet shoulder width,at least break parallel you should be feeling your quads screamin',and a couple days later you will still feel it,you could try going 10,8,6,4 .........it's not that you want to just concentrate on going to failure, you want to keep a log of the weight and reps so you keep adding weight every week and you will get tyo a point where you will go for the 8 reps and only can do 7,stay at that weight till you get 8.... and so on..........

I squat every 5 days on average. I alternate routines like this;

Heavy Day

Leg Ext. 2x20 (warm up the knees)
Suats 135x12
225x10
275x8
295x6
315x4-6
Leg Ext. 2x20 (cool down)

Light Day

Leg Ext. 2x20 (warm up)
Suats 135x12
6 sets of 6 reps x 225
Leg Ext. 2x20 (cool down)

I do every rep full depth, my ass touching my calves. If I can't get there I stop and reduce the weight so that I can. The reps and the weight are not as important as getting full quad extension.

You really cant go to failure per say on the squat anyways, but you certainly can grow by not going there. Actually, I have gone no higher than 6 reps in 3 months and my legs have definitely grown, on a powerlifting routine now. I used to get a lot of gorwth from high reps, I think the key is to keep your legs guessing and force them to try to adapt, they will grow

Heavy only,

that i totally agree with!!!!!...very true bro.most people get higher and higher on their squats when the weights get heavier.
