Anavar and HGH ...... Advice

Shortee69 said:
Any advice on these 2 ? I just started both.

Soo.... you already started but asking advice now?

OK, well can you give us some context? What are your goals w/ these? Why this combination? How old are you? What is your experience w/ controlled substances? What is your current diet & training like? How long have you been training? What is your plan w/ this cycle? Dosage? Frequency? And also, you're sure what you have is real?

Well, I have done my research and I have recieved many opinions and much advice from men. I just wanted a women's opinion or advice. My goal is to loose BF and build a small amount of muscle or just strenghten what I have. I'm 36, 4' 10", about 126 lbs., I work out 4 days a week, weight training and cardio. My diet is pretty clean. Protein shakes, chicken, egg whites, veggies, and lots of H2O!! (I have been working out for about 3 months.) I have only been on Anavar (5mg daily) for 3 days but I have been taking GH (2 iu for 5 days, off a day, then continue) for about 2 months. It was recommended to me to use Anavar w/ my gh because it was a waste to use it by itself. So, here I am. And yes, I'm sure what I have is real :) Any suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated. I am a novice and I'm not training for any competetion or anything like that BUT, the pure dedication body builders have is motivation in itself!

I high lighted the reason you shouldn't be using either of these. Clean diet and hard work in the gym for at least a year before you take anything. Taking something to soon kills the gains you could reach naturally which in the long run affects you long term goals and gains. Also IMO 2iu's is to high for what your looking to do.

OK, well first, welcome to the ladies board. :)

Let me lead off w/ a couple comments -- you *just* started training 3 months ago? I'm a little confused then about why you started on gh having been told that by itself its useless? I'm not sure which you are saying is the useless one w/o the other. But... Yikes. If you are talking about the growth, then why are you taking it in the first place?

I mean, it sounds like you have done the research about how to use some of the cycles, but honestly I think you really need to get the basics in there and give your body a chance to respond to them before throwing in chemicals. 3 months of lifting & diet really don't establish a good basis for *SUPPLEMENTING* w/ var. Much less growth. You can accomplish "lose bodyfat & build muscle" w/ diet & training. You didnt' say what your bodyfat is, but I also wouldn't recommend using any of that stuff until you are lower bodyfat as well.

So, I guess aside from the fact that you are a MAJOR novice and I absolutely wouldn't recommend that you get involved w/ ANY controlled substances.

If you choose to continue your cycles, because you are new and because you are new to lifting as well, I'd keep the var to 5 mg, better to split the dose to 1/2 in the am & 1/2 in the pm and don't increase it. There's absolutely no reason to increase it as you may still be working on establishing your base and you aren't planning to compete. I also wouldn't increase the GH dose.

How long do you plan to run the var?

Regarding the GH ,I was told that it was safe for a women to use by it's self and it did a lot of great things for your body as well. And it helpd burn body fat. I'm wanting to get in better shape so I took the advice.

When you say,"establishing your base," what does that mean?? If I do decide to still run the var, which I'm questioning, I would run it for 6 -8 weeks. I hear that 8 weeks is a good run w/ var for women. And due to the water retention at higher dosages of GH, I will stay where I am with that.

Though I am a novice at this, I'm not guided by them. But, none of them are women and once again, that's why I'm here seeking good advice like this. Thanks for taking the time to respond. :) BTW, I'm not sure what my body fat is. But, I'm not lean. 4'10", 126 ..... small frame. I really just want to burn off the fat. Actually, I would like to loose 11 - 15 pounds.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I appreciate any and all advice or comments you may have to give. :)

To better quantify what you are tryign to do, also get your bodyfat measured so when you talk about losign x lbs, make sure its bodyfat and not muscle.

QT gave you the good info -- -when I said "establish a base" -- I mean be understand how to lift, have AT LEAST a yr in the gym. Have acheived at least part of your goal just by activity & nutrition.

BTW guys are ususlly the source of bad advice for women & cycling. Its easy for them to run a 6 week winny cycle & drop a crapload of fat because its still testosterone that they are putting into their bodies. But I also say the same thing to guys who want to cycle - if they haven't already established the discipline of a tight training & diet regimen and have seen how their body reacts to those, then they don't have the discipline to get involved w/ a cycle. Cyclign means NO DRINKING, getting enough sleep, training hard, etc etc etc. Otherwise you are just adding to the stress on your body that it is already experiencing from the drugs. And as qt said, the gains aren't as predictable and also not guaranteed to stay around once you come off.

For women, AAS often cause an increase in weight and possibly fat if the diet isnt 100% tight. For the stress on the body and the introduced imbalance in hormones that result from AAS, women shoudl already be low bodyfat before messing w/ the drugs. AAS is NOT a fat loss supplement.

Honestly, I'd start by looking at my diet if I were you - get that tight and run it consistently and you will start to see those results you want, in conjunction w/ your training & cardio.
