Amount of Protein???

I'm trying to build muscle and lose bodyfat. I was measured today and it's working!!!I'm now in the lean catagory!! Whoo Hoo!! :) BUT my last session was today with my old trainer and he said 125 grams max on protein. I'm 5"6 and 137 pounds. I though I should have 137 grams of protein. Who's right me or him??
 
There is no real "right or wrong" answer to the amount of protein. I typically think that to add muscle you need 1g per lb of BW. But some people think that you should only eat 1g per lb of LEAN MASS (muscle weight.....total weight minus fat weight).

But eating between 125-135g protein per day should be fine.
