Amino Acid Supps

Worth the money? In the 80's it was a must by all those in local gyms. Now days it is allready broken up in protein powders...
Do you think they do any good? Lots of scams too, by some of the supplement companys. "2800 mgs of amino acids" what they didn't tell you is that it took 8 fat tablets to get that much.
Unipro had a good BCAA in capsules, but to honest I couldn't tell a difference from taking them..

Any one have any input on this?

IMO if u are getting enough protein then amino caps are not needed. I have taken them for a year straight (last year) and I havent noticed any loss in acheiving my goals. actually this year I gained more than I did last year.

I agree with you guys. Proteins are composed of amino acids so I don't know why you would want to waste money buying amino acids in free form. You'll get much less total amino acids for the cost if you buy an amino acid supplement.

Thanks guys, just what I thought. So popular in the old days, I wondered if there was some hidden benefit.

Thanks

Useless!! Each pill contains about 1000 mg protein, that's one gram guys, come on. You'd have to swollow about 40 of those to replace a pro-shake.
