She lacks internal confidence, and satisfies her desire to value herself, not from her own accomplishments, but from the approval of others.
You are a guy she also likely values in opinion higher than average.
You've taken away your approval and validation, and she wants to continue with you in order to get it back.
Once you give it to her, it's likely she will lose interest.
"I told her my I-Pod was fucking up my computer, and she said "They don't get along like we don't get along, I guess".
This comment showed both that she was focusing on your comments which she found insulting, and she was opening up for you to say
"Noooo....we get along ok."
Clearly, her focus on this wastes an amazing amount of energy, thought and time that could be used for other things. Which ironically is a part of why her life is limited to a strictly average status.
