Alternate Chest Routine

Mehta

New member
After going to an orthopedic today for my shoulder, I was told that I could continue to workout but that I coud not do military press, flat bench press, or incline bench press. The particular part of musle that was torn in my shoulder would heal in 1 to 2 months as long as I do this as well as physical therapy

Does anyone know of any alternate workouts I can do for my chest that will not irratate it??? I'm going to do decline, butterflies, and cables but I dont think that will be enough to maintain muscle growth in my chest. Absence of military press will be a problem for my shoulders as well. Any ideas would be great.

I think your therapist is telling you not to do those workouts because he/she believes that this will affect your rate of muscle recovery by slowing it down. I think if you choose to do cables, declines, etc. you still will be stimulating the deltoid muscle, even the recovering one, especially if you want to train to some intensity and keep, or atleast try to keep your strength/size.
Let it recover:D
