I have taken ephedrine HCL (not ephedra) many times without any sides, usually going as high as 125mg per day and trying not to get as high as 150mg. I am pretty immune to ephedrine, even after taking a week or 2 off, thus the reason for going as high as 125mg/day. NOW, most of the ephedrine you can get in the US has 200mg of Guaifenesin in each 25mg tab, which does in fact lessen the effect of the ephedrine.

Here is the question - I can understand being extremely careful and not going above 100mg of pure ephedrine (without guaifenesin) but what about the tabs with it? I have taken both and notice that 150mg per day of the tabs with guaifenesin dont come close to the effect that the pure ephedrine has.

i think the guaifenesin has an anti-stimulatory effect. you just don't get the same "buzz" from the EHCl as you do with the EHCl+Guaf.

just be careful starting out with EHCl. 100mg/day isnt' that much. i wounldn't go over 50mg/3x a day though max.

start with 25mg at a time + 200mg caffine and adjust from there

I know that they put Guafessin in certain types of Cough Syrups that are based soley on a DXM variant. DXM when taken orally in large doses acts as a Dissociative, and fucks you up for like 6-8 hours, I remember trying that once as a kid in my early years around 12yrs old or so, but back to the point, they put Guafessin in some of the cough syrups to make you sick if you drink a whole bottle of the stuff to try to get high off the DXM, so I would assume that the Guafessin in the Ephederine is the same purpose, but that is what a friend of mine told me, so Im not 100% sure of its purpose, but when you come down to it, it makes sense to me.
