Well, seeing as i used to be an alcoholic, i drank 3 ltrs of cider a day and 6 cans, ive cut down to mabye 4 cans 1ce/2ce a week, real hard not to drink more but bbing is my main focus so im not going to give in.

How much would 8 cans a week effect my gains ? I heard it stops testosterone etc... but i cant help but think 8 cans is better than 3ltrs of cider and 6 cans lol
 
Alcohol is a poison. Your bodies first priority, when you have alcohol is in your body, is to rid itself of it. You sacrifice everything in order to remove it. So given the gov'ment sponsored 1 hour per drink, you are sacrificing 8 hours of the week removing poisons.

After that, you have the fact that alcohol dehydrates you. And water is necessary for everything.
 
:) gonna be hard but im sure i'll be able to pull it off, even though i'll probly be stressed in the process lol
 
i used to smoke ciggs, then when i quit id smole like 1 every 3 days. It was like why? So now i havent smoked 1 for about 6 weeks and going.

But i never "needed" it like you needed alcohol probably. BUt jus try to stop and everytime u want a cig have a glass of water!

alcohol affect protein synthesis. thus making it harder for your muscles to grow. I used to drink every weekend in college and I made gains. But my weekends were crap.
Now if I drink like 4 beers I feel like crap the next day all dehydrated, and im only 26! lol.
Yes it's fun if you're around other people to be social. That is fine to go out and have a few. And great job cutting back as much as you have. A beer is fine a few days a week. glass of wine is good too.
You have a great build. Just make a plan and log and not to have a drink, train 5 days a week, diet on point for a month. then make it 3 months. the less you have, the less you want to do it!

Thanks for the encouraging words! Im gonna see if i can stop my self having any alcohol for the next month, then try to continue that to the next, although it is my bday next month lol
 
cutting yourself completely off will only make you focus on the want even more. I choose one night to go out usually Sat. have a vodka over ice and after each one I drink a bottle water. I still get a small buzz, it satisfies the nervous social tick when at a bar or club and I stay hydrated. Alcohol does greatly reduce your bodies ability to synthesize protein for the next day arguably two days and it slows natural test production so try to drink on your rest days. IMHO
