alcohol and gains.

once every couple of weeks should be ok, twice a week is a little much imo, I was guilty of the same thing in the past, I noticed a difference when i cut down on drinking...

it will raise estro, and it will lower protien synthisis, it will dehydrate, and it will lower test levels... not ideal..
 
Just go out and drink and have fun, again, are you a pro who's got tons of time and money invested in training and has no job but trains non stop for shows? No. Whats the big deal about having a drink or two or 7 on the juice? I'd MUCH rather drink than have a "cheat" meal.
 
I agree with SlinSlin, moderation is key. From personal experience I've found I have much better gains when not drinking. So when I'm on a cycle I cut way down or stop totally. The way I look it at is that I've spent way to much $$$ to ruin my cycle with alcohol.

I gotta disagree 100%, alcohol is way worse then any cheat meal,,, with the worst cheat meal you are going to get protien, tons of carbs lots of fat,,, ill give you that,, extra fat actually raises natty test, carbs spike insulin, probably not a lot of protien but every gram counts......

now alcohol on the other hand lowers test and raises estro, at the same time pulling water from the body..

dont get me wrong i still have those nights where i put down a few cold beers, but to get shit faced 2 times a week is counter productive of what most on this board are trying to achive...

and lastly there are studies that show a high fat "cheat meal" can help in bb the same can not be said about booze...

Funny..I've been there but without the bong hits. In this situation, I can say that alcohol is a waste here, for both the body and the wallet cause it doesn't do anything while on a roll. Just walk around with a malibu and diet so the girl you wind up kissing likes the taste of your mouth. I've wasted alot of money on liquor while riding the dolphin wave. But.. I CAN tell you that rollin every weekend will cut you up big time..prolly cause of the amphetamines in them and the dehydration factor. Best to do this before a show.
