The one guy I know who did time told me juice was available just like any other drug. The gurads usually turned a blind eye, as AAS wasn't seen as that a big deal -- and it kept guys in the gym and out of trouble.
As for the nutrition angle, again for the right price you can buy most kinds of food. And there's plenty of time to sleep and eat extra meals.
All you really have to do is avoid gang rape and jail wouldn't be so bad.
