I've heard that women get less pay because they don't ask and aren't aggresive pursuing the money. Men, on the other hand, I've heard and paid more then they are worth because of the same reasons (they ask and aggressively pursue it).
Well, I guess that could be true in some companies or circumstances....but where I used to work the men would get more pay & larger bonuses simply for being men -- actually most of those guys did less work, wasted more time & were dumber (really) -- but they still got bonuses that were 2-3x what the women got.....same work/job
However, I am only referring to one company -- however, it is quite a large, national company...
