Add Protein Powder BEFORE or AFTER Cooking the Oatmeal?

What do you do and why? :)
After... otherwise it ends up being kind of rubbery ;)
But I guess it depends on the texture you like I eat it either way though...

After. I generally don't consider protein mix somethign I 'cook'. It mixes in a lot of stuff AFTER tho. My protein pancakes sorta get cooked I guess - I make 1/2 c oatmeal the regular way, mix in 1 scoop protein mix + 1 splenda, throw in 1 whole egg + 1 egg white, mix it just like pancake mix and throw it in a skillet. Voila! Pancake :)

I always put it in after, I also way a few minutes for it to cool now some, so it doesn't destroy the protein.

That is what I thought - my husband always added it while it was cooking. I always thought that was weird. I always add protein to things after too.

I have never been able to eat oatmeal. I am going to try it again this weekend. :worried:

I was thinking how much of the protein would be compromised after heating? Guess this is a ? for Mac?

I add mine before.

I have a bunch of identical containers for my meals so when I'm prepping food ready for the week I just get each container ready so that all I have to do is grab and go.

I add it after as IMO, it tastes DISGUSTING added before......bleh!
