hey bros I've got a question here, ive been workin on a 5x5 and been making gains and all, but my leg muscles are destroyed every time I squat.. Ive been at this for about a month now and at first it was a case of really bad doms and I had to wait a week before squatting again making sure my legs felt brand new
but when I even just body weight squat, its like instantly my quad tears or something. its not a huge pain and I can always lift through it, the pain is equivalent to the pain of really bad doms, except it happens right then and there instead of a day or two later
despite this ive lifted through it and im adding more weight but its startin to bug me really. last night my quads and my glutes did the same thing and were both painful to the 'flex' or massage.. now ive looked up muscle strains and tears and based on the descriptions of them I wouldnt say that it is necessarily that because theres no swelling or brusing and aside from a little pain when flexing I can go about my day and walk around and do what I gotta do. Even sitting down doesnt hurt or anything like that.. its just like doms pain but right away, I dont know how else to explain it
anyway today the rest of my legs are sore as fuck, inner quad and a bit of my hammies too in addition to the outer quad and glute soreness that happened right away.
i know my form is good, ive done the wall checks, my legs are wide apart enough, i dont have ANY join pain at all, everything is smooth, its just my muscles feel like theyre gonna explode.
the soreness is like a sharp stabby soreness like I got razorblades in the muscles, not like an achy sore i know my muscles are growin fast like my whole upper body feels
with the 5x5 squatting and deads are like the core of the entire program, skipping them to let my legs heal sucks ass cause then im just left with bench ohp and rows...
what should I do? for the record too im on my feet ALL day for my job, and I walk around a lot just doing that, and then I spend probably an hour walking on my way to and from work each day (I bus).. its just that like everytime I think i feel good and then I go to simply just body squat the soreness comes back right away ..sorry for the lengthy post i just thought i should be descriptive..
oh and yes I do stretch before and after, quads hams and glutes as best I can
