ACLU...Satan good!!!

Pro-Satan, Anti-Jesus

Aside from supporting abortion on demand, and homosexual marriage, the ACLU also supports legalized prostitution, and even opposes the movie ratings system.

However, events in two small American towns offer a somewhat humorous look at their anti-God agenda. In tiny Inglis, Florida, a town of 1,400 residents, the mayor okayed a proclamation declaring, "Be it known from this day forward, that Satan, ruler of darkness, giver of evil, destroyer of what is good and just, is not now nor ever again will be a part of this Town of Inglis."

When the ACLU heard about it, they sued to have the proclamation stricken. Signs carrying this proclamation have since been removed and placed upon private property.

At about the same time the ACLU was working to defend Satan in Inglis, it was also working to oppose Jesus Christ from Franklinton, Louisiana. There, several signs reading "Jesus is Lord over Franklinton" were placed along state highways coming into town. Though county workers put up the signs, local citizens paid for them. Predictably, the ACLU sued the parish, forcing local officials to remove the signs. However, the people responded in a huge way on their own lawns and property.

Today, there are hundreds of "Jesus is Lord over Franklinton" signs that pepper this small town.

ACLU May Sue VMI Over Dinner Blessing
Tuesday, April 17, 2001

The Virginia Military Institute has long enjoyed a reputation for being one of the outstanding military schools in the United States.

But during the past decade, the school has come under fire: first from feminist groups, who successfully persuaded the Supreme Court to force VMI to enroll women in 1996, and now from the ACLU, over a "non-sectarian" prayer given prior to meals at the campus mess hall.

This recent controversy over pre-dinner prayers started when two students complained that the blessing of the meal – which mentions "God," but not "Jesus Christ" – violates the so-called "separation of church and state."

Ironically, one of the suing students was raised Catholic, and the other is a churchgoing Lutheran, according to the Roanoke (Virginia) Times.

A letter from the Virginia branch of the ACLU claimed that cadets are "coerced" into accepting the prayer as a "captive audience," as "the only alternative to going to the mess hall for dinner is going hungry."

An ACLU spokesperson added that litigation is "a good possibility."

"The Constitution does not prohibit our saying grace before supper," VMI Superintendent Josiah Bunting responded. "And we shall continue to do so."
"Once again, the ACLU goes too far," said Virginia State Attorney General Mark Earley, whose office is the legal counsel for VMI. "The Supreme Court has never said adults assembled for an official meal on a college campus may not hear a blessing offered for the meal.

"If the ACLU insists on taking VMI to court, we will vigorously defend the Institute and the tradition of saying grace before supper."

On a serious note, all they are doing is following the law of serperation between church and state.

please elaborate:confused:

it might sound like they are putting satan in and taking jesus out, but all they are doing is seperating religious crap away from the goverment of the city. If churches don't want to pay taxes then they shouldn't be involved with goverment.

Don't kid yourself the ACLU stand for the Anti Christ's Law Union. They are evil as hell and they will try their best to ruin this country. They were founded by commies and they should be shot for being traders to this great country. They are poison.

Btw Good post bwood.

Satans a pussy. That bastard can't even get his fat ass out of Hades without bitching and moaning about something. That's right Lucifer you're about as welcome as a Reggae band at a Ku Klux Klan convention.

Hilarious! I do have to say that if Satan were to come to earth in some bodily form, he would seek legal protection from the ACLU.

can;t see anything wrong with the first post, the second....other than it being a tradition its exactly the same arguement as the pledge of alliegance includng the word god

as said above its church vs. state.....

still waiting for someone to explain seperation of church and state to me...

its the law. religion should not be involved in politics, IMO

The meaning of seperation of church and state was our founders did not want the state to interfere with church not visa versa.

Many of the founding fathers where deists. Thomas Jefferson and Thomas Paine in particular hated the church.

Most of them still believed in a supreme being but they wrote long letter about how destructive they believed organized religion is.

In other words when they passed laws about the separation from church and state what they really meant is that they wanted the church to stay the hell away from the government they worked so hard to build.

Tiervexx,

You can worship who ever you want. But just remember the devil dude is just a washed up angel that wants to have company when he burns in hell. Seems kinda silly to worship but whatever floats your boat.

I know they would not have wanted the government to ever make an official religion so you are right it does go both ways. I was just making the point that the constitution can give freedom FROM religion just as it can be freedom OF religion.

As long as your freedom "FROM" religion does not infringe on others freedom "OF" religion. If the majority decides they want to say a non-denominational prayer before a meal... One has the right to abstain... not dictate to the majority that no one should be allowed to pray. The only thing the founding fathers did not want was an "Official" religion. That's it... They did not want people to hide their religious beliefs for fear that someone might get offended.
