anyway once the dryskin/nosebleeds started getting to be too much for me (around the fifth month) i dropped my dose in EOD day, and kept my dose the same on the other days..

I did the same thing on the 6th month. I had 2 boxes of accutane and I couldn't handle the horrible migraines I was getting so I dropped it down to 1 a day. By then, I was so incredibly dry and accutane stays in your system for several months, I knew I'd be alright. But, I did exactly what my derm told me to do during those months except for the 6th one. I stayed at 80 mgs throughout the cycle. He saw how great my liver values were and wanted me to go to 100 - and I said, "hell no! cuz i'm dry as hell and it's getting worse! haha"
I actually was using the neosporin lt for the first few months - I was buying everything out on the market. Neosporin LT worked the best cuz it was wet, but i'm telling you man, that Aquafore by Eucerin is the shiz. It's not only wet feeling, but it locks the moisture in the lips and Aquafore doesn't evaporate like Neosporin and the others did. At night, I kid you not, I would put a heavy coat over my lips and I'd wake up in the morning and most of it would still be there. But to win at the accutane game, you gotta stay ahead of the side effects. Lubricate the eyes every hour and lotion - lotion and more lotion once you are dried out. You'll be fine!
But, with all that being said, there is a chance that you can still break out after you do your cycle. So, it's always good to have a maintanence dose on hand. For instance, I kept a box of 30mg 30ct accutane tabs. If I do something like Test or eq, which is known to break me out, as soon as the symptoms of acne start, i'll take a 30mg tab everyday for a week, then e0d to stay dry. I don't know jumping head first into a heavy cycle would be the best idea after a heavy dose of accutane, but if your liver values are good on that 6th month, then go for it, mine were due to cardio/excercise and of course those omega 3s that I highly recommend..
A year later, I'm still acne free. I get a few pimples here and there just like the next guy, but for the most part, doing good

There is something that drives me crazy from that accutane cycle and that is I have a dry patch of skin above my right knee that occasionally itches like a mofo until I put some lotion on it. I never had to put lotion on before my accutane cycle and when it's dry out, it dries that area of my leg. But the funny thing is, when I do a light cycle of gear, shazam! - all of my skin is normal again - no more dryness until i get off the cycle

so when my leg itches, it's time for gear again

haha.
