accuracy of drug store bp machines

i know they are not as accurate as the md's office. i'm measuring high normal for systolic and normal for diastolic. the cuff is for 9-13 inch arms . . . should i assume that since my arm is significantly bigger than this it is affecting my reading(making it higher than normal)???

yes it will give an incorrect reading with a bigger arm size. After struggling like hell to get my arm in and the thing leaving bruse marks on me, I almost fainted after I stood up. It also gave some insanes reading like 135/90 when I never go above 120-122/80 at the docs office

those things are peices of shit. It gave me a reading of 174/122, and scared the shit out of me. I went to the doctor and got a correct reading of 90/68
