A balance between both obviously is ideal, but it all comes down to personal preference. A majority of women that I've encountered are much more attracted to the guy that has a good physique and very lean vs the bloated looking meathead with a distended belly. Who gives a flying fuck if he can bench 400+ if he is a fat ass. I can't stand to be at 10% or over, so I stay in single digits year round.
For me personally, I am not a fan of the word "bulking". I don't ever "bulk". I adjust my diet accordingly to make lean gains while trying to keep the fat off through intermittent fasting.
What kind of intermittent fasting do you do? Like a couple days now and then of really low cals or something more extensive? Do you find you loose much weight or muscle when you do that?
