? about dairy when cutting

I have heard many things. I am sure it can make you puffy. But...when a person is dieting for a "ripped appearance" why cut out the dairy?

This is heresay from the trainer who helps me with my diet: she told me dairy can make getting rid of body fat harder and also doesn't help with cellulite conditions. I already have ripples and dimples, so she told me to remove dairy for that reason. It's a pain though because I can't have cottage cheese as a protein source now.

What negatives ( if any) have you foudn with cutting out dairy? I've thought about it, but still have it in my morning tea, coffee

New studies confirm that 3 serving of dairy actually helps you LOSE weight.

Unless you are competing/photo shoot etc, milk is NO BIG DEAL...unless you have allergies/reactions etc.

and by "ripped" - thats sub 8 for a man and 12% for a chick

I'm not competing, but am trying to lose BF.

I have milk on my coffee and tea and thats about it, along with some cheese sometimes.

Is it good to do a no dairy diet for a small period of time lets say for 6 weeks? or will that hinder the cutting process?

Exactly what he said. The benefits of milk products (calcium being the primary one) WAY outweigh the drawbacks.

Is an extra 1% lower BF REALLY worth losing bone mass?

If you are competing, sure - maybe it is. But to just lose BF - It ain't worth it in my opinion. ESPECIALLY if you are still in your teens-20s - and still building bone mass.

When I was cutting BF (not for competing) I cut out dairy totally. I will not do that anymore. I think the health benefits are so much more worth it.

Shadow hit it right on the nose I didn't completely cut out dairy tell 4 weeks before my compatition. I ate cottage cheese on an almost daily before that and had no problem droping fat with it.

I have been eaint cottage cheese and 0% fat greek yogurt and havent had any problems cutting lately. Well, besides the cheat meal for Thanksgiving. I just want to be more cut for pics.
