a little bloating

I have lost some body fat ~ 3% yet my lower abdomen is poochie. Not to sure what it is...from the front I look good, but from the side i look like I have a fupus...okay it's not that big, but it's noticeable. I know nobody's stomach is ever flat, but do any of you get like that? I am about 19% right now. Maybe too many carbs?...or too much salt?...or not enought of something. :worried:
Do u notice it more in the evening? Sometimes when you eat a lot of fiber or veggies you will get bloated. especially if you dont eat them a lot and your not use to it. Its more likley from the veggies or fiber or you may be retaining water, if so start drinking at least a gallon of water a day. the more water you drink the less you will retain. Cut out the artificial sweetebers also. That will really help. Hope that helps. :)

My abs are their flattest in the am and as the day goes on, it gets puffier....so by evening I'm bloated....every day....it's from food, I know it!

i've noticed that too on a lot of women who are in shape...even my Pilates instructor, who i'm guessing has around 12% body fat has it. I honestly wouldn't worry about it, you're probably being too hard on yourself and have abs that most women would be envious of as is!

I have always eaten a lot of veggies, but I have not always been this concerned of how I look...and drinking water...always done that..but I do notice it more in the evening.

if your sodium intake is a touch too high, why not supplement some potassium to re-adress your electrolytes?

or even better use lo-salt instead of your normal sodium for it's K+ properties?

if it's none of the above, maybe it's simply fibrous matter in your lower intestines sitting there. after all it absorbs lots of water. it helps explain the lower puffiness at the end of the day.

maybe a mild diuretic could help you in the meantime, dandelion root or some cucumber juice....

Well guess what...started my peroid earlier than normal...and the bloating has gone away a little bit...i feel much better :)

I was on anavar for about 6 weeks, i decided to get off of it to clean my system. I recently notice my stomach is huge! i was freaking out thinking i was pregnant. I have been in the worst mood ever, I'm talking major bitch. Has anyone ever gotten off anavar and experienced any of my symptoms, I just started anavar again so hopefully my bloated stomach and my bad temper will go away.

Most of the time that pooch is due to 1) How your pelvis tilts which is purely genetic; 2) The fact that, unlike men, women have reproductive organs sitting there which means; 3) Any food (especially fiber) that is sitting in your lower intestine will tend to push that area out.

You can tell if it's fat or fiber/pelvis tilt by measuring the skin fold in that area. If the skin is thin then it is either the way your pelvis tilts or fiber/gas. 5 days without fiber in your diet will tell you for sure. This is the trick I use for the week precompetition to get my lower abs to flatten.

Yes, pelvis tilt is genetic, but some of the pooch also comes from bad posture, which is learned (and correctable). If that's the case, Pilates works wonders in fixing posture and teaching the neutral pelvis position. (I swear by Pilates!)
