I don't see dishonorable anywhere in it though and I don't think he was implying dishonorable either.

There is a big difference between the two and they are not antonyms imo.

I apologize if you took my words out of context, however that doesnt change what I was really saying...that for some reason it seems like you apparently have something against a 17 year old deciding to join the armed forces, and are confused as to how on earth the 17 year old's parents could support it.
