ok i lied. TODAY was the last workout before the meet. i felt i had to address some weak points, though its down to the wire now.

FUCK IT ALL. MY SHIRT IS LOOSER THAN A 5 DOLLAR WHORE, AND MY 3 BOARD SUCKS.

YOU GUYS THINK OF WHAT I SHOULD DO FOR MY ATTEMPTS. WHEN I USED AN ECA BEFORE I TRAINED, MY 6 BOARD WAS 450, 5 BOARD WAS 405, 4 BOARD WAS ALMOST 405 AND MY 3 BOARD WAS ABOUT THE SAME AS IT IS NOW
(I'LL BE USING ECA DAY OF THE MEET BUT HAVENT USED ONE IN A WHILE)

I WOULD'VE LIKED TO HAVE GONE: 315, 365, 405 BUT FUCK THAT, RIGHT?

relax...take some time off

I would open somewhere that you are sure you can get on the board with....probably 300. Then depending on how that feels make your decisions. Also if you are having a good warm up then start higher. But mainly just work on getting your mind right being explosive and eating well.
 
Is your shirt loose because of the weight you've lost?

For all you know, today could've just been a bad day. That 405 still might not be out of reach.
 
i used to do heavy singles but now ive just been working up to heavy triples as this it was the last couple weeks before the meet. not many reps in the shirt, but some. i dont know what the shirt reps are for, i dont really feel like i'm 'learning' any sort of groove or anything.

my shirt is loose because of losing a few pounds and ordering it too big in the first place

perhaps i should get it altered? i want to be in the 275 class the meet after this so i dont want to have it small and then grow into it though.

i see that MM guys do a lot more volume than me. what i do is warmup with heavy triples then one max triple (or single) and stop, while they go back down and do a few more reps

what is the point? do they learn where the shirt is tightest when pulling the bar down, so they can hit that groove later? like i said before, when my shirt is this loose and almost anything touches, there's no groove
 
hey man I have no idea about shirts or the technical aspects of benching.

However I remember reading that some guy took sodium pills...I think hes from metal militia. Why don't you start taking some and retaining some water...that will add a few lbs to you.

i heard something like that. also something similar for joint lubrication. i have no access to anything of the sort so its really a no-go.
 
hmm, i bet they are dirt cheap...its just salt pills. Seriously your local pharmacy must have them

or, i dont know if this is smart or not ...add extra salt to your food durring each meal maybe

i dont want to be giving you bad advice...but salt does make you carry more water

what about creatine for some added bloat\pounds?

what about salt + creatine...the ULTIMATE STACK lolol
