3/30 NBA Product Bet: Spurs Vs. Lakers

Solid advice. It's easy to make a slip setting up these events.

Regarding the Product Betting itself, I know very little about NBA but the idea of running real-world events as number generators is a solid tradition that 4ever tipped me off to the other day with his raffle. I think giving fair odds is a modern slant that the old numbers rackets didn't bother with.

On the bookie side of things, I just have to trust the numbers and odds and let the Event unfold. As a player, you have the chance to let your lucky number pull in some heavy Karma for a moderate outlay. It's more interesting than a simple 1 to 10 bet.

Pile-ons are a phenomenon I need to think about. If Lucky 7 had come in, I'd have been paying out over 400,000. :)

So, ummm...........................................................No apples for mojo. :worried:

What. Count on your hand and go with the best odds monkey.

My point is that there are no "best odds" because it's completely random and each payout is weighted according to its likelihood of occurring.

Roulette is completely random and one of the most popular lines in almost any casino. You're right in that there should be no 'best' number in the abstract sense but in reality this caters for both the reasonably cautious and those inclined to a bolder bet.

Bets that are essentially random can still be enjoyable. Something like this can give you something to cheer for in the closing stages of a game if you're watching it and running number combinations through your head.

People bet on raindrops running down a window. I'm just offering a novelty bet, for an amount that's pocket-change to many here, with a potentially big payout. There's the reasonably likely number 0 and a bit of a spread in between, with 5 and the other even numbers, before reaching to the less likely odd numbers.

Completely agreed. I wasn't attempting to scuttle your new event type or dissuade people from betting, just pointing out that although it's in the bookie form, product betting more like "games of chance" than sports betting.
