Good lord, I think I am going to throw up.

That is with my max deductions and not counting all the money I hid.

Brother, won't you spare a dime?

Well, on the bright side, that's more than some people make.

How much for one rib??

$41,000 here. :(

File for an extension?.....

Find a GOOD CPA?...

Just tossing out ideas.

Damn....$28K....you get a kiss or at least a reach-around with that? :worried:

Sorry about that dude. maybe you should put your taxes into a savings account each month instead of spending it.

I'm taking it that you've not paid any tax this year, otherwise you need to get a real accountant and stop fucking your money away with the hacks at HR block.

God, don't I wish this were a joke. Good lord.

You know the kicker? For the last three years I have tried to make over $240K per year. That was my goal. I didn't make it the first year. Second year I would have made it but a hospital changed their start date from Nov 1 to Feb 1 so that fucked me. Then the third year, I would have made it too but I got 60K stolen from me by two guys in the company. (But my boss let me fire them personally, so that sort of made up for it). Ok... here is the kicker. I didn't expect to reach my goal this year. So when I quit my last company, I did it before Nov 1 and didn't work again until after Jan 1st. Wouldn't you know I made over 240 this year? last minute contract threw me over the top.

I wrote off shit like mad. All my donations to Shadowood II. I wrote off a ton of expenses for shit like food (even a new stainless steel grill too). I wrote off hurricane damages. I didn't even claim ANY money I make from my other three properties as income. According to me, the properties are just sitting there empty. I didn't claim any income from the money I made off those naked parties for Wildfyre either.

And I still come up with 28K. Fuck. It would be different if I owned a small business or something and it caused me to have this bill. I only had 7K to pay last year.

I actually feel sick to my stomach.

You REALLY need to go elsewhere than H&R Block for this. Even if the fee cost you $20k (which it would'nt) it would still save you 8k. lol

bro, by going to H&R I can selectively hide things that I don't want claimed. A real CPA would have easily spotted the fact I had people living in my properties. Plus a couple of other things I fudged about.

A CPA has been working on my partner's taxes since LAST TUESDAY. Yeah, fucking 8 days already.

You make that much, and went to HR BLOCK???

People who are trained in doing tax returns for dumb people making $20k/year?

If you had the tax accountants the stars use here -- you'd probably get money back!

Accountants have to protect their own asses too. So they tend to dig a bit deeper for things you don't want them to find.

I have a great Accountant, plus owning my own business i get to write off most anything!

RADAR

so i am guessing there will be NO pool party in the near future??

Don't feel bad, My uncle out in the LA area has to pay damn near 100K... You need to learn how to lie better on those returns.. I give a ridiculous amount to church...

I could only claim 10K as my max for charity donation. Even though I donated over 40K to my charity last year. (Yeah, it was other people's money, but so what?)

Just think, if I had exercised some stock options, I would have to pay EVEN MORE.

you should at lest go talk to someone else besides hr block..

your right they might dig a bit deeper but in the long run you might be better off and going and talking wont hurt

good luck

Isn't that true? Bush spent our surplus and not one penny of it went to us. Hell, I am all for spending extra money we have, but not on another fucking country. We never saw a dime of that. And here I am paying more.

That's peanuts. I am looking at around 150k after deductions.

No shit. By my calculations, Mr. Cuts personally netted over a 1/2 a mill. :)
Mine too. LOL!!!

AAP there should be no way that if you take your NET INCOME from your rental properties at this point should their be any profit. There only a few years old right?

AAP what are you into, real estate? Businesses?

Keep in mind that unlike the major real estate write-offs, I didn't take out an interest only loan on these. Right now, I didn't want to claim any undue income that they would even try to sniff in the direction of. I prefer them to think they are sitting there empty.

Get turbotax. I've been using it for years and costs less than half of the smallest fee that H&R Block charged me the two times I used them. It only took me an hour after I installed the software.

Btw you should donate more. You can have my address. :)

The surplus was mostly the result of creative accounting. Not that Bush has helped that of course...

most of my neighbors have bil+ net worths... gotta say, fuckers have gotten their taxes down... b/w jets and and a team of cpas they manage to pay less than me some years... whic

damn... I pay 25000€/year on taxes... that is like 32500 $... whch are discounted monthly... I would hate to have to pay that in one go...

AAP - I'm a CPA (thank GOD It's APRIL 14th!), but what you've claimed is completely false. It is not our job to decifer fact from fiction. We don't audit tax returns for our clients, and for the most part, fight tooth and nail to get every possible penny back we can for our clients. We're not the IRS, we are on your side........agressive if you want to take that approach............you should have claimed the income on the rentals, and just accumulated extra expenses......3 losses would greatly reduce your taxable income.........

Also, increase you friggn withholding.........toss some funds in a ROTH, sell some stock....take some losses bro.......

Ok, so if you fell into the wicked .38% tax bracket so you make about 75k a month? Me confused. I have no idea how you work out your salary and taxes.

Wodin, where you at?

I love the cut and dry of paying taxes as a business owner.....losses leverage earnings, and I still had to give those fuckers money. One day the IRS is gonna blow down my door with 100 lbs. of C4.......until then..... :)

If I were pulling in over 50K a month I wouldn't give a rats ass about taxes.

Paying a lot of taxes is fine if you are a business owner. I'm not. I don't have businesses. I don't have corporations. This is a fucking lot of money to me.

I mean, if Matt is paying 28k a month to uncle sam for his good services he is providing him, then how much is he grossing a month?

If you own a business, you can make over 100,000 a month, and pay hellacious taxes on it, but what good is that if after expenses you are only making 4000 dollars profit each month? Business owners are SUPPOSE to pay big taxes.
In my case, I don't own a fucking business. I just go to work. This is fucking taxes from my employment earnings. If I had sold stock, I would have to pay even more taxes.

As a dealer my taxes are paid monthly.......and I still owed $41k at the end of the year. My office manager keeps receipts for EVERYTHING, we write off things that people would never think of.....................and I still OWE.

Business owners do pay BIG taxes, but to be in my situation (paying out every month, AND at the end of the year) sucks ass.

If I had to pay my taxes in a lump sum, like most business owners, I would be writing Uncle Sam a check for almost $900,000. :worried:

i dont understand how all you people claim to make 100's of thousands of dollars yet have the time to come on a fitness site and post in the Chat and Convo Forums all day.

Something isn't right.

I don't think 3 posts per day ='s all day. :) Besides, I'm bored as shit, this is typically the slowest month for me, this and August.
