vinylgroover said:The thing that really aggrevates me about the whole issue, is that as fitness buffs we are always criticising the 'model' look and girls who are aspiring to be ultra thin as being unhealthy and setting a bad example, yet at the same time we 'admire' the pro female bodybuilders who IMO are presenting an unhealthy appearance and lifestyle at the other end of the extreme.
Seems somewhat hypocritical don't you think.

Bottom line, IMHO, is that people that are doing what they love to do, and meeting their goals, are happier people to be around...whatever the goal is. That alone makes them more attractive than their "all talk' couterparts.

Yeah but they still look like women and aren’t ½ way to crossing over genders.
It is a shame what these "females" have done to their bodies.. ..but me personally I love that back shot of Lenda I think it is AMAZING...but i dont look at female bodybuilders at her level like most other people do, i look at them as a work of art, like a statue, regardless how manly and hideos many of them look in the face.... i realized LOONNG ago to look at the body as the body brought to its max potential and to not look at the faces any more cause to be honest, they are nasty. i dont consider many of them female anymore, mainly freak shows and works of art...remember works of art can be ANYTHING..ugly things..pretty things..weird looking things...
JJFigure said:One of the great aspects of this women's discussion board is how much the women support each other - doesn't matter what the goal or sport. I think NY Muscle is thinking of a different board, because if he spent any real time on this board, he'd realize we're not like that.
Small pee-pee syndrome - hahahaha! I have to borrow that one, Spatts!
