2 Board Decline Video

I made 305 on the 2 Board Decline Bench. That's a PR seeing that I never did it before :). Don't panic when you see a lack of spotters - I had my patented boxes with anti-roll device - heavily tested with a 300 pound barbell to ensure no tips, rolls, falls, etc.

It's ugly, but I moved the weight somehow. I know my elbows look wrong, and I should have probably squeezed my shoulders back more. Any tips would be helpful. If you're wondering why I chose decline instead of flat, it's because I need to build 2 more boxes.

Bro you should pause on the boards. You also might want to get someody to hold them to your chest, or tie them to your chest w/ a kneewrap or something. The board could get all shifty on you otherwise.

i like the ear to ear smile after you get off the bench.

LOL.. I didn't notice that smile until you pointed it out. Never had that much weight over my chest before. Hell, that's the most I've ever deadlifted.

argent: I'll tie on board or maybe put it under my sweatshirt next time and pause instead of tap :)

Mike R, I have been reading alot of your posts lately and I must say you got tunnelvision bro. You`re doing it all taping your lifts, tweeking your style, just flat out doing it. ... keep it up, karma is deserved.

Watch my 3 Board Press from a few weeks ago...

3 board

Keep your elbows in and push up instead of overhead your head. When it feels like you are pushing away...you are doing it correctly.

Thanks B Fold - I've been practicing keeping my elbows in and pushing straight up, but when the weight gets heavy my old habits kick in... I'll keep practicing. Maybe I won't do any true ME workouts for a couple weeks until I'm consistent. I was taught to push the weight toward the uprights - which of course is wrong.

Gonelifting: thanks for the karma. I feel like a dummy 'cause I do everything wrong, but everyone here is so helpful. Thanks all.

Keep the ME work...it teaches you your mistakes that you don't see on your DE days...

We are all learning all the time Mike.

I think you should use less weight and get use to the form. Also lift with a spotter if you can :) Even then sometimes your not safe lolol

Nice job man.
