The Chicago Bears and the St. Louis Rams will both be trying to pick up a win on Monday when they battle at Edward Jones Dome.

Oddsmakers currently have the Bears listed as 7-point favorites versus the Rams, while the game's total is sitting at 41½.

Chicago took advantage of five Minnesota turnovers, overcoming five of their own in a 23-13 win last week, covering the 9-point home spread. The 36 points scored were OVER the posted total of 34.5.

Rex Grossman had a tough day, tossing for 34 yards and three picks, while Cedric Benson rushed for 60 yards and a major for the Bears.

Marc Bulger was picked off three times for St. Louis in a 34-20 loss to Arizona last weekend, falling as 6.5-point home favorites. The 54 points scored were OVER the posted total of 46.

Bulger threw for 314 yards and two touchdowns, and Torry Holt had 115 receiving yards and a major for the Rams.

Why is there only 6.5 spread here? An extra half point would lead me to take a shot on Rams. In spite of Bears D I'd go over 41.5.

Hopefully, Grossman doesn't turn the ball over too many times.
Just have a hunch that Rams + points will be a winner tonight.
Good luck!

Thanks! I need it :rose:

I am not a big fan of either of these teams but oh well...I voted anyway!

I wish I had voted for the damn Saints yesterday but I really REALLY thought the Cowgirls would've pulled it off and won the game. I have no faith in my team.

I use 2 sites for odds and one had it at 6.5. We bookies look for a break off the even number to avoid the pain in the ass push. I fthey both had it at 7 I'd have used 7. This one site that had it at 6.5 generally gets the money flow sooner than the domestic site.

and now bodog has it at 6.5 and the other site has it at 6
so the money is coming down on the monday night home team dog

st louis can still "win out" and make the playoffs

st louis will prob win. i have a bad feeling about this game. not to mention how the rest of the weekend went

The over/under is set at 42 which tells me the odds-makers are predicting 6 TD's. Since Grossman is pretty much useless, those 6 TD's will either be scored by the Ram offense, Chicago Defense, Thomas Jones or Cedric Benson. Griese might start the 2nd half.

The Rams usually keep it close in home shootouts.

All in Rams.

damn it. who knows if the Bears will be playing hard...
the 10-2 team is the superior squad
but which team has the incentive to "show up" tonight?
and you're getting 6.5
not a small amt in the NFL

I don't usually comment on games I host
but christ I was looking at a 2.5 million to 12000 pile on before I left for dinner

the O/U number is more of a build of averages
avg scoring etc. etc.
you can bet the O/U and win when you recognize that
myself I didn't like betting totals
just didn't seem right
and you can't come up with a system to beat it anyhow
that post by some guy I can't remember talking of guys creating a computer program and beating the game consistently
hogwash

This will be my largest victory. After this I'll have won over 700,000 karma on the bears this season :) my crackas

hope I didn't just fuck myself saying that

gotta watch eachother's back

yea heard

no it was a good enough opinion to put out there
st louis ran the field and then fucking give up a TD KO return
which really hurts in a battle against Goliath
they come back with another long TD drive
the game got fucked
I wouldn't have bet it myself
but I didn't steer you wrong pointing out the reasons for a st louis win
you won't win many in this leaque if your opponent scores 2 TDS on kick returns
