the black sox are going to take it!! you heard be right, the black sox, as they used to be called... the sox on their uniforms aren't black by mistake

one of the cool parts of being from chicago and the chicago legacy - that the sox threw the WS....

houston should start oswalt in gm2 and thus be able to throw him 3 times

houston is going to bend the sox over
hard to say
both clubs have strong starters
with the white sox having an edge on no 3 starter

that's why as hou mgr I'd run clemens, oswalt and then pettite

i dont think the sox have an edge at all in starting pitching, i would give a clear edge to the astros, just because the angels had cold bats in the series doesnt give the sox an edge now

pettitte 17-9 2.39 era
clemens 13-8 1.87 era
oswalt 20-12 2.94 era
and they pitch in a bandbox of a stadium and put up numbers like that

I NEVER look at ERA
that's a weak stat that isn't a very good indicator of future performance
I look at K/BB ratio (control)
K/IP (dominance)
H/IP

well without even looking at those stats you know houston has the edge in that

contreras over clemens in game one
so now pettitte on the road in gm 2 is a heavy burden
I'd throw the young oswalt in gm 2 and thus almost for sure have a split before going to houston
