im sick of seeing all these shitty snack foods that boast "0 grams of trans fat!" in reality, maybe im ignorant on the issue, but wont less trans fat still be fattening? people now are eating more shit because of this because they think its "not as bad". does anyone else have an opinion?

Trans fats have been shown to be worse than saturated fats when it comes to cholesterol profiles. It significantly decreases HDL (good cholesterol) while raising LDL (bad cholesterol).

However, I do think we jumped on the no-trans fat bandwagon a little soon. We haven't yet examined the alternatives. For all we know, some of the stuff being used in the fast food industry to replace trans fats may actually be worse.

Absolutely 0 grams trans fat but 50 grams of refined sugar!
yup LMAO i love the label laws to. People don't know as long as a product has less then .5 gram of fat per serving they don't even have to put it on the label.

actually just because it says "0 grams" doesn't mean it doesn't contain any - it just means it's less than a gram per serving. who the hell eats one serving of 100 calorie pack oreos? I use two over 4 cups of vanilla ice cream..
