  • Ya, I've been off for years.

    In July I was a pretty lean 225 but I haven't lifted in 4 months. Arms were almost 18 again. Now they are like 16. Weak.
    I am like 215 right now. I used to be almost 250, so yeah I have lost a ton of size.

    I'm married now bro.

    Probably best to stick with the linear approach at first. Not to say your a beginner, but smolov is definitely for intermediates and above. Did you check the volume involved? Haha
    Just getting going again after my broken hand, but things are coming back quickly. How low you gonna go?

    lol, will do, i keep forgetting. as for training, haven't been to the gym consistently in a while but that mostly due to all the traveling those last couple months. Lost some weight because of lack of consistent meal plan/hectic schedule.

    gosh, havent checked that in a while. been so busy with work, thats pretty much the only email(work) i use anymore.
    nah no new shoot - that was from the April batch - i have around a thousand images from that shoot. It's not finished or photo shopped or anything, but I like it.
    Whatever the reason is I dont really care too much to put any effort into it. I was only in it to give Weakmo infractions. ;)
    Just too busy travelling with work. Not a single place I listed was I anywhere near a gym. China I was living in a 8x7x7' box in the middle of nowhere. I was at an abandoned salt mine in SA and out in the countryside in Sweden. Just no opportunity to train and no time either. Recently I've only been home a couple of days at a time and I'll hit the gym when I can.
    South Africa, Sweden, China, various parts of the US and Denmark. Plus I have better things to do than hang out here.

    Look up John Berardi on google. Dude is only 37 and published 200 papers.
    Yeah, I've lifted since I was 14, I'm 32. I've taken the last 2 years on and off, and my stats are 5 8, around 175.
    I'm around 12/13%. When I was your age, I weighed around 135. Anyway, my whole plan is to lower the bf to around 7 to 8%, while putting on some slight mass. At this point in my life I no longer care about putting on large amounts of mass.
    Of course, I have to set objective goals on strength, however at this point it's more of a 'wellness/fitness', health, and aesthetic appeal regime.
    Significant Other... Oh, sorry, I didn't know you knew of her. Yeah, she is huge on weighing portions. It's a hard job being a nutrtion counselor, especially, whenn peeps want everything/success now. It's a process, step by step. Anyway, she pushes them, to learn to weigh food out. It's hard though, as eating is an intimate habit, related to sensation/emotions/stress.
    LOL, my S O is a nutrition counselor. She has the hardest time getting her clients to do this. EM, you got discipline. Bro, that's good. I'm gonna tell her boutya... She would dig that. She's a former moderator here.
    Actually, bro, I think you are progress oriented. I like ya, and thought at this step, just said the first thing that came to mind, which is keep getting your shit done so you can nail a good scholarship, something I didn't do in highschool which was eat clean. I then realized that how that sounded, so I hoisted an LOL...
    been using the dang things for so long that i guess it's just part of my "routine"...maybe i'll stop?? :)
    i do lots of forearm curls and i have a 250 gripmaster that i use when i'm in my car...plus of have a finger strength device that i use several times a week (helps me with my guitar playing).

    They will definitely limit what you can pull. Totally worth it for curls and such imo. I can't wait to use them for bb curls and extensions Monday.

    Everyone wears flip flops here in Florida. Did you notice my tanned hands. I've already spent a good deal of time in the sun this year. Got a nice farmers tan going.

    231x7 is definitely stronger than 220x3 though. I'm sure it'll get there man just keep working on it.

    Haha too fat at 18%? Man when I came into high school I was about 24%. My sophomore year the only thing that changed was I went from being a 170 lb 24% to a 225 lb 22% haha.

    Very nice on the leg PR's too man, being a little shorter can give you that extra push to throw up big weight like that!

    I was the opposite of you though, I benched 335 lbs for one rep and could only squat less than that........luckily I've evened out a little more lol

    I'm about 5'11" 195 lbs right now at around 12% BF. Trying to trim down to about 185, thats my favorite fighting weight.

    That's what I have for breakfast actually. 2 cups of milk, 1 scoop whey, 1 scoop casein, 1 cup of oats, 1 tbsp of olive oil blended. Tastes good and has tons of calories, whoel grains and is a good day starter for someone who doesn't have time to cook breakfast.
    You make a good point that whole food is most definitely better than a shake. I'm with you on that one for sure. Anyone who argues against it is retarded.

    However, if you can't get a solid meal in, depending on the person schedule and life, throwing in a shake in place of a meal is not only useful, but perhaps necessary.
