  • Yeah, it does help. Unfortunately, I couldn't tolerate the mask (tried a few different ones) so I tried a custom dental appliance that moves the lower jaw forward slightly to prevent the soft palate from collapsing (opening up the airway for better breathing). I had to have it adjusted a couple times before I got the right fit that didn't make my jaw ache and still allowed me to breathe freely. The upside is I don't have to wear a mask and it's much easier to travel with, sleep with, etc.

Hey Nan, you see we helped your friend win with votes ;)
I started in 1993 working as a Foster Care Case Manager in Chicago for a private child welfare agency. We placed and monitored children in foster homes, testified in court, etc. We also worked with the courts to either get them returned home, or get them adopted. Then I became a supervisor then a manager so I was responsible for several teams of CMs. I had other positions at that Agency such as Educational Liaiason where i made sure all the client's educational needs were met. I also spent a few years as the financial person for our unit, managing a $1M annual budget. My last position there was a licensing rep where i recruited, licensed and inspected foster homes. All in all, I worked in the field for 12+ years. I don't miss it at all.
