Hey bros

Lets start a thread in which we post current PR's in an ongoing fashion. I see LOGS galore and I like reading them but I specifically like to look for goals reached/PRs. This thread eliminates that searching and lets us see some your PRs and goals that you have been reaching for.

Remember all current, it can be in MAX weight or REP weight, attach vidz. Ill start, obviously if this thread fails miserablily than w/e.

Goal is to reach 600pd deadlift by summer.

i just deadlifted 4 plates (405lbs) for the first time today for 5 reps :D

a 450 squat, weighted pistol squats, 100lb+ leg presses, dips with 90lb etc...

Moya impressive lifts my friend Ive seen your vids, definately a beast at your weight. Post some of your gnarly lifts in here, I made this specifically for that reason. I hate looking through all the boards at different logs. Any personal best just throw a quick hit in here with the vid.

I could tell by some of your earlier pics of your back and posterior chain that you likely could lift the numbers you say you do. It would be cool to see some vids of them.


Current short to mid term PR Goals:

500lbs belt only full squat
350 bench
500 belt only deadlift
225 standing barbell press

Current max's:

425lbs belt only full squat(this is an approximation since I can triple 405 or do 6 singles with it np)

315 bench(likely 5-10lbs higher now)

deadlift 455

standing barbell press 185-195(did 165x8 clean, approximation)
 
Current Goals:

100 weighted pullup


Current Maxes:
275 bench for sure, probably around 285 now
my best is a 445 deadlift(not sure what im at now)
80 lb weighted pullup

All at 185 lbs 6'1 18 years old.

I really wish I could triple 405 on squat. I can do singles but I have this mental block right now with anymore than 1 rep. Pissing me off. I added front squats and SLDL in hopes to break that barrier.

i will be posting up some more vids either tonight or tomorrow where i get tripples with a 90lb dumbell on these... has helped my stability a lot, and keeps both legs equally strengthened...
i dont fear walking out big squats anymore...
heavy walking lunges have also helped a ton... those would be my two favorite assist moves for squats...
 
Everyone has their favorite exercise, or one that they find "easier" than the rest. For me its shoulders. For the past month I have been able to put up 315 for 3s10r. The max I have done is 355 for 4reps.

Good job, i watch that vid last night. For you weight that reallly impressive. I am without a doubt going to be adding pistol squats as well as lunges. It hard because by the time I do back squats, front squats, and leg press my freaking legs are toast. Should I throw away leg press for lunges/pistol squats?
 
i only do leg presses every once in a while just for shits and giggles... i dont think it has much carryover if any into your squat...
my current routine is sorta like:
mon
squat
bench
upper body push isolation circuit
pistols
calfs

wed
deadlifts
db pullovers
light biceps
rowing circuit

fri
squats
front squats
bench
dips or 2 arm db oh tri ext
lunges or leg press (maybe once a month)
some chest iso circuit

sat
heavy biceps (just while im doing this body transformation, otherwise i dont normally do curls)
sldl off a box
calfs

considering doing a pl comp at the end of month... dropping bf and down to about 7.5-8%, but my strength is still increasing, suprisingly... would love to go 450, 240, 510 for a 1200 total raw...
 
Just pulled 500 again, been back in the gym for 4 weeks, after i locked out buddy walked by and is like whoa a blood vessel popped on ur neck as it was bleeding, this is where it gets gross, it was a big zit that exploded ahahahaha.

4 sets is good... if you can add weight, add weight... but 4 sets of 8 at bw is a good start...
i dont know anyone else at my gym that can even do one... and i work out at a Gold's...

Bodyweight is going to give me enough problems as it is, I will be video taping my first attempts at this.

It doesn't surprise me that your the only person that does them, they are hard as fuck. On top of that, its not a COOL lift....you know what I'm saying

ok, actualy the c&j is 5lbs under my PR, but this is current... i hurt my hand pretty bad attempting 225 a few months ago, had it up but didnt get it back far enough, so instead of landing on my chest it landed in my hands and then my lap...
im not letting that stop me though, hand feels good to go now, just working on the technique and moving up slowly... going after 250 hopefully by the end of this cycle...

I did 5 sets of Backs Prior and 4 sets of Fronts

MOYA-I did the pistol squats tonight, although my flexibility is an issue I still did them. The 2nd and 3rd sets went much better than the first. I went below parrellel, but I didnt get a vid. Ill record them next week. Thank you for the advice on doing those my legs are toast. Also I stood on a rubber 45lb plate, to help with the flexiblity issue helped alot.

Pistol Squat 3 sets of 8 reps (First time ever)

If your contemplating adding these to leg day DO it bros....awesome addition.
 
nice squats!... (i dumped a 340 front squat attempt today :( ) im doing my squats in oly shoes now bro... i got hooked up with them for practically free ($25), they are like $200 shoes... i have good flexibility im my chucks, but these do help...
i find the better i get at pistols, the easier it is to get deeper on my back squats, if that makes any sense...

hey bloke, try doing them with holding on to somthing just for balance...
i can actualy do sets of 3 on the half balance ball...

Hey guys last week I made 415x10 look hard well this week went much better. Diet was better + more hydrated made for a good day. Also I had my workout partner there, that helped a ton for motivation. Sorry no video this week phone was completely dead.

ive been trying to make sure to get plenty of water well before i hit the gym...
my friend Zed here gave me the advice of getting 2 litres of water before lifting... im not sure im getting quite that much water before, but i can notice a big difference with the increase...
 
I drink 3-5 litres of water per day. 3.9 litres = 1 US gallon.

Once I stopped drinking milk all together and started drinking only water my skin complexion seems to have improved...
 
first off, on cycle i look a lot less bloated when i get in more water...
lol, yes, you will spend a lot more time pissing, but i just notice a slight increase in strength/ feel better...
and i was just suggesting how much Zed said to drink PRE workout... during the day i would say 1 gallon is the bare minimum required for optimal performance... i probably average about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 gallons a day...
 
I still haven't reached the point of the Starting Strength program where deads and bench are really difficult, but as of now its:

Squat: 215 x 5
Deadlift: 215 x 5
Bench: 155 x 5

Oh, and you guys that drink gallons of water - what type of container do you keep it in? I'd be way more likely to drink more water if I could keep it in a huge milk jug, but I've been told that reusing plastic containers for drinking is unsafe. I guess the plastic puts stuff in the water?

I'm looking to hit a PR deadlift soon. Got 315x5 in my sights over the next few weeks. I'll post it here when it happens!

For now, I really want to break 300 x 5 for deads and squats and get 250 x 5 for bench. Pressing my bodyweight is also a goal. Deadlifting 300 x 5 doesn't seem like something too far off; I feel like I could be fairly close to that right now, haha.

LOL I am bro but yea def not the same as being ON. The last part of my cycle was crazy too. 750mg test/week, 3 caps katanadrol ED and 3 caps dieselbolan ED. Both for 30 days. 10mg compared to all that just isnt enough to keep those gains I was getting but it has held my weight up pretty nicely and my strength is down a little but I still feel strong.
 
Okay rob, thanks. I watched the videos again twice. I saw what looked like an extremely bad arch in my back but if you look closely the 45 plate on the opposite side was adding to the "arch" in my back making it look worse.. Also I have overly large muscles in my mid back and when I thrust my arms forward under the bar it flexes those muscles which isnt helping the illusion.. I will video tape this weeks with a different shirt and closer. WIth that said my flexibility is shitty, and I completely agree my form isnt spot on as I just started these and need to start strectching big time.

Thanks jigga.. Look this week lemme know if it improves at all. I really take pride in doing my lifts full and complete so I appreciate the feedback.
 
Finally making some progress with training, PR's from todays workout:

Deep Squat - 231x5 then 198x12 (weak!). The 198x12 was a PR.

Seated Calf Raise - 20 reps with 120lbs

Romanian Deadlift - 20 reps with a pair of 88lb Db's, 2-3 second negatives. No straps.
 
Only been using it for the romanian deads for the past 3 weeks or so. But I make sure pretty much all my exercises have a controlled negative. If I just drop the weight down the set ends up feeling shitty and I dont get the muscle firing very well. I cant really say if it makes me grow or not its just how I train.

I remember reading something by Dante Trudel, the inventor of DC training, he said you should get into the mindset of lifting the weight up purely so you can lower it under control afterwards.

Okay big thanks to Jiggagold at pointing out my form on front squats. HUGGGGEE difference!! I didnt video it but Glad was a strict eye for form. I lowered the weight to 225x5 for 4 sets KILLED the quads.

My PR for the night was 365x4 back squat with spot on the 5th rep. Its been awhile for me so I was stoked.

Pistols were gnarly tonight considering my newfound form on front squat. I couldnt even finish my last set, FML.
