I'll check out the iPhone when my Driod quits. And based on the quality of the Droid, that should not be long.

Not sure why people don't like the Android OS.

Pretty good move for Verizon though. They both won't be selling the phone for any less to lure people, as per apple with price protection if either carry wants to sell it, it has to be a certain price 199 or 299
It's gonna come down to a DATA plan war and the prices on the plans should hopefully come down in the next year.
Not sure why people don't like the Android OS.

Well the only thing that will keep atnt afloat is the fact they'll be pushin the I5 in july and that wont be available to veriz till 2012
As long as Atnt caps their data and no tether, only an idiot would go to them for an iphone.

I'll switch IMMEDIATELY if Verizon can reset my AT&T iPhone. If not, I'll wait until it needs to be replaced. I just got it late last year (G4 iPhone with AT&T). AT&T has a little better service this time than when I had it for my Blackberry in the early 2000s. They were terrible then for customer service, and nearly as bad on coverage area. Now at least you can walk into the AT&T store and get help, whereas you couldn't before. And there is an improved coverage area. But my Verizon phone works perfectly every inch of the way from Los Angeles to Dallas, and has great signal at our house in Ventura County, CA, where AT&T has no service. I've even gotten a good signal on VZW from the middle of the Nevada desert, 250 miles north of Las Vegas and 100 miles from nothing. AT&T; forget it. However, to be fair, there are a few places in Los Angeles where you can't get a VZW signal, but you can get AT&T. But just to be clear, it's 10:1 in favor of VZW.

here's the real deal, here in minnesota I get no reception if I leave a major freeway more than 1.5 miles.. up north and down south there is no reception..
however my brother in law always has reception on verizon.. since the family lives out on the farm, that's my main reason.. and my contract with att is up in January.. good times..

yeah no other company aside from verizon comes in everywhere around here...my reception is spotty with tmobile but I've kept em because my plan is super cheap

Yeah...Verizon rolls out a supposedly wicked fast 4G "LTE" network, announces several Android 4G phones, then unveils the iphone 4 which is 3G only.
I think it was apple that fucked it up...didn't want to redesign it because it would make it slightly bigger.

I'm getting one for my wife. I was talking to the Tech Support yesterday and she told me to have the order filled out and at 11:59 on the 2nd, and hit the order button. They are expecting to sell out in minutes, The next order date will be Feb 10th.
I forgot to ask her what time zone they will be using! My guess would be eastern, that makes a BIG difference.

Verison Tech Support said that they cannot reset ATT Iphones. She also said that existing customers will be getting updates sent a week or so prior to initial sales on the 3rd. So anything is possible I guess. I asked her if I could use my "New in 2" plan for the Iphone, no- but they are allowing me 50.00 for being an existing customer. whoopee
I've never had any issues with AT&T the past three years I've been with them.

I was afraid of that... I guess I'm stuck. I keep stuff in good shape, so maybe I can sell my AT&T iPhone 3g when the VZW iPhone 4 comes out. Meantime I'll be on the bench watching.

Ive been all over the state and at the very worse I'll lose 3G. That's only in the sticks too.
Good luck selling the 3G for anything since apple and AT&T are now selling the 3GS for only $49

why do I see all these apps that say free MP3's/ringtones?
It listens to a few second clip of a song then tells you the artist and album it's on.
Pretty cool app that has actually turned me on to some random music heard in commercials, tv shows, etc.

she told me that as of about a week ago when I called, she saw nothing that said that would be available. All she saw was a 50 credit for being an existing customer. She DID say that new info would be comiong out in the next week or so and there MAY be new info reguarding the "New in 2", so we'll see. As much money as they stand to make, I'm not expecting it to happen.

Yeah, alot of peeps in Mass don't complain that much about att service, but alot it has been blinded by "but I have a cool iphone though, so it doesn't matter!"
