Your so brilliant tell me this how come in every war the enemy was terrified of fighting the Marines head up. WW1 named Devil Dawgs because they woundn't die and were ruthless fighters.In Nam the NVA would hump 15 miles out of their way to avoid fighting the Marines they had no qualms about fighting the Army head-up that's why the Army always got over ran and had to call in napalm on their own perimiters because their soft. How come when I went in 1989 my outfit was sent straight down Central America to stop the some of the Drug Cartel movement and the spread of the commies? we squashed it in 4 months they said the Army was down there for years, and didn't do shit! In Korea they sent a million chinese across the border because they heard the Marines were in the area... As for that bull-shit your trying to peddle the airborne was first to go in Iraq during the gulf war is total lie the British OSS was and gave us cordiance and we went in first and the rest is history...

Name a battle where the United States Army got their ass kicked in the past 100 years? I can name one...Kasserine Pass...but they were newb conscripts fighting their first battle against the invincible German veterans. More precisely, name a battle the airborne have ever lost?

Let me give you some schooling...this is a repost but here is what happened when a troop(company to Marines)engaged an "Elite" Iraqi armored brigade....a company Vs. a Brigade....just sayin'.

well I'm in army rotc. The marines may win some battles but ultimately the army wins the wars. Marines tend to work better in smaller amounts of troops, while the army masses in taking over entire areas and securing them for long periods and time. The marines cannot come close to bringing the amount of force to the battlefield that the army can bring.

I've had this argument with marines for decades. They have a very well developed training and indoctrination program, even marines with PHD's can't acknowledge simple data and evidence that contradicts their indoctrination. You can give a hypothetical to a marine where he has no arms or legs while you're armed with a sidearm and they'll claim they would still kick your ass because they have the title of marine.

True story, I went to a Navy ROTC party with my roommates and tried to have a conversation with two of their cadets. This Marine ROTC chick asked me who I knew and it went on with me biting my tongue until she chose to directly insult my service, a combat veteran taking shit from a fat little wannabe troll, and I responded in a typical Javaguru fashion cutting into her self-esteem with daddy issues that made her want to be a marine...the fat little troll tried to fight me. It was epic.

During Iraqi Freedom the USMC were supplied with bullets, fuel, and spare parts by the U.S. Army...read the AAR's. As far as air support goes the U.S Army can deliver more ordnance on target via gunships than the Marine Corps...At the end of the day you're Navy and 100% dependent on the Navy which failed to provide you proper logistics during Iraqi Freedom...We don't need a Navy because I can be anywhere in the world before the marines even if they have a ship in the region...thanks to a C-130 and air refueling.
