With utilities (gas/electric/cable/internet/water/heat/AC/sewage etc) combined

I know every on ef is in the 30% tax bracket, but still...

Hopefully we can get some callouts and posting of yearly profits + W-2's.

probably around $1500-$1600 with mortgage, utilities and taxes. bought this house pretty cheap and put a lot of money down (about 35%).

my mortgage alone is over $2000 a month.
utilities is just electric. water is free.

sometimes i think i am the poorest mofo on here.
a 2k mortgage and i'd be sunk...i got a two story condo on a lake,
all uts included plus cable and internet for 575 a month.

I pay ~$1100 a month. That covers mortgage, property taxes, and electric. I earn less than 80% of most EFers though. I'm a thrifty bastid.

Just hate debt. Family helped (basically bought) first house for me in 1989 and I upgraded as cash permitted over the last 20 years.

what, you mean you didnt rise like a phoenix from the ashes that life dealt you, like everyone else on teh internet?

poor never took a handout now i'm RICH" stories have we
heard over the years?
i took lotsa handouts and grew up super comfortable! i confess

bachelor pads are slick dunny

my folks tossed me their old house and this shit just feels too big to live in, gas is like $300-$400 a month in the winter. It's not even sweet cept I have a backyard (which needs mowed EOD, meh). I pay up to $500 with Direct TV/phone/internet/gas/water/sewage etc etc just to stay lonely in a 3 bed house

condo's/downtown player pads are where it's at for a single bruh

sounds like you're nailed to ohio

Nope, my parents learned their lesson when I was growing up and we were poor. You get your shit together early, work hard, avoid banks and start thinking about how to launch the next generation.

I'll pay it forward to my children someday. If I do my job right, they'll be dealt a royal flush and never know poker can be tough.

My step father is the same well his family never helped him but he never had a mortgage on his home. The buildings his company owns have mortgages but never in his personal life.

You can share a small 2 bedroom for that much in the city but no way in hell you get anything decent for one person with that kinda money.

Dam that is nice mine think struggling is healthy builds character which is true to a point. However if shit went really sideways in my life they always give me a roof over my head if I need it.

My mortgage is 1500 a month, I pay 2000 though. not sure exactly what utilities/cable/etc add up to. Pry another 400-500

Oh, all that too? Bump me up from 1700 to about 2000. This is DC. I live in a one bedroom condo, that's standard for nothern virginia. If I lived IN DC that number could jump substantially.

I can't wait to leave here lol

"but youll create spoiled little brats and whaaa whaaaaa" lol

I have a different take on that. Use their childhood to create a linkage between positive behaviors and rewards. Too many people today have lost that link (i.e. "no matter how hard I work, I just can't get ahead" or "it doesn't matter how much I diet, I'm still overweight").

When they get older, they'll learn life's ugly little truth that sometimes you can work hard and do everything right and things still not work out. But as a parent, I'm going to shield them from that as long as I can.

My parents did the same thing for me. We were anywhere from food stamp qualifying poor to comfortable middle class, but I never saw the difference. I never wanted for anything growing up, and they paid for my undergrad and helped with grad school. I have no idea how they did it, but I appreciated it every step of the way. And when it was time for me to go my own way, they'd given me a pretty nice lifting off point.

Don't get me wrong, they didn't go crazy and buy me a car or other ridiculous things that I didn't need. They expected me to work during the summers. But as long as I was taking care of the things they wanted me to take care of (primarily, school), they were there to step in any time I needed help.

don't forget- i have a 2 income family.
i also live in a rural area, but it's still an expensive state. My homeowners taxes (built into my mortgage) is $7,400 a year i think.

plus, i have a 4-5 bedroom/3 bath home with 2 garages and a big barn. if i were single, i'd be very happy to live in a condo on a lake.

I own... I spent to many years in the far north working .... not own it out right built new in 2001 paid cash....plus we own 1.5 acres of water front property at the lake paid for too...

right now it's a swamp, the cows sucked it dry.
but in the winter/spring/summer :qt:

my mortgage is $1040 per month and my homeowners insurance, property taxes, and pmi are included in teh payment. I always pay between 1300-1500 when i can though.

my gas/elec bil ranges from as little as $60-80 in the warms season and my worst bill was $450 one month when I barely used my wood burning stove but is usually about 150-200 in teh coldest mos. All in all my total is around $2300-$2500 per mo.

I rent, used to own...too much bs to explain

1000 a month, no utilities included
1800 sq ft, 3/4 acre 3 bdrm 1.5 bth
no garage, but its secluded AND convenient and cheap for CT

I hat you all.

I fuckin wish I paid $700.

But then I love where I live. I was at the beach last weekend and it was like 75 degrees. It was 80 today. :)

I miss the beach. I'm not going to see the sun again for six months.

I pay $230 month in association dues, no mortgage.. taxes are $3200 yr..

5 miles from the beach in florida..

hows that??

Ok.. that's the winter home we just bought..

I can't believe I'm going to admit this...3208 mortgage and utilities are over 800....tax bracket including state tops 40%

LOL...well we're 45 and I think she looks great!

I live in one of the most inexpensive housing places in the US

I just bought a house here that would probably sell in California or east coast for $2 mill and I didn't even pay $450,000 for it

and I make pretty decent money and I am not in the 30% bracket

and who's the idiot that is in the 40% tax bracket? how much exactly is that because there is only a 35% tax bracket

lestat posted his last paystub with YTD. It was like $90,000 and change. Not bad for a good bro. I can't hate on that.

that is the epitomy of classlessness.
esp when meant to prove your worth...i love lestat
but that is a flaw

Idiot?? Ok Mr. Illiterate..I said 40 with STATE included! Lives in a 400k plus home and can't afford plat status????

I think Bino is actually the wealthiest dude here, just keeps a low pro

just wants peeps to love him for who he is rather than leach off his career success

similar to how pick3 acts gay and fat but in reality is probably 6'4 275 4.5%bf year round

i got a pretty sick bachelor pad no lie

I probably pay what CEO pays but I don't have the benefit of the beach and nice climate.

It is 100+ degrees here most of the summer and goes under 32 degrees most nights of winter.

What I am trying to say is my utility bills are kicking my ass.
I pay around $1,200/month in utilities and about the same in property taxes.

I need to downsize.

Something nice about living in Cleveland, it's property and house value So many forclosed homes up here, unrented apartments/condos, it's dirt cheap to live even in the nicest areas

You can buy nice 3bd 2bath house sittin on 1.5-2 acres for a good 100k... Hell if I took a pic of my backyard some would think I live on a country club, I feed families of deer by hand that live in my woods. The folks caught a steal and settled in some nice property before the town blew up. Lucky me my sis moved south so there was only one to inherit it

I said I would never move but i'm coming to realize that it's just too big for me alone. Too much energy and space wasted

Does it have a newly replaced sanitation system yet still smell a bit putrid?
