Update on my condition and the shit to come

Saw my neurologist yesterday and still noone has any idea as to what is exactly wrong or why it has happened. The good news for me at this point is that I do not have cancer of any kind, so for those of you that were hoping it was cancer and that I would die soon, Eat a Dick, it ain't happening Bitches. I will be having a spinal tap on Friday, very painful from what I hear, I guess thats a consolation prize for the fucking haters. Anyways, I will be admitted into the hospital on Monday for mega dosed IV steroids, in hopes of maybe getting the swelling in my left eye down, and possibly giving me my sight back in that eye. I will be in the hospital for at least four days next week. While I'm gone Mitch will be handeling all my affairs and posting as SB. (JOKE Stilleto, LOve ya Girl) As always if you don't care and we ain't cool stick your comments up your ass. This for the people here who have asked and are down wit ole SB. I will be around for a couple of days and then gone for a while. Love Ya'll hope I am back soon sticking up the middle finger and raising HELL.

Chris can back me up on this, an LP (spinal tap) should not unbearably painful if done right. Find out who's doing the job, if it's a resident, tell him to go fuck himself, you want someone experienced, preferably your personal neurologist.

this is correct. Unless of course you get one in the middle of BFE by some guy who does one every couple years... I couldnt lay flat for a few months. But its all good now!

Well I was planning on being in management with a local company by the first of the year anyway. I was already working for them sorta kinda part time, but right now I am just on medical leave with full pay and benefits. I have been just sitting and waiting since my last assignment anyways, been idol for about 2 months. Thought my ass was headed back to the land of sand, but it got held over long enough for me to go blind in one eye. But yea I will be put into early retirement and that part of my life is pretty much over. Like I said it was gonna be by the first of the year anyways. I am ready to be home everyday and be a husband and father to my kids.

I very plainly said that if you were not some of the ones who were following me and my condition, to stay the hell out of the thread, but somebody has always got to start some back handed shit. Yea whatever, I was PM'd about the post. That's why I said to talk to him. As far as a loud mouth trouble maker, you need to pay more attention to the things that are said, and if you do, you will see I hardely ever start any shit with anybody. But ya'll just keep letting bozo's like this one and Pdaddy start shit and walk away clean and clear and I will keep doing what I do. There is always the chance of be ban, I know this, but you know there was no sense in what he came into the thread and said, say what you want you know it. The only reason I started the thread the way I did, is because of the last one about what was going on with me, the same ole dip shits came in saying the same ole shit. How long are they keeping you on pred for? That stuff can have a host of really, really bad sides when used long-term.

I am going to answer this in an effort to be civilized towards you. They have had me on Pred for four weeks, trying to reduce the swelling in my retnia. Which is apperantly so swollen that it looked as if I had a tumor growing behind my eye. Not the case. Just very swollen. It started at 80mgs for 8 days and has tapered down to 20mgs. I finished the last of it Sunday. Now my neurologist is going to put me in the hospital and put me on IV steroids for four days after my spinal tap on Friday. She says super high doses, as a last attempt for me to regain my vision in that eye. Hey brah no scam, don't want anybodies money, don't need it honestly. Uncle Sam is footing the bill on this one. Hadn't asked for anybodies sympathy, except Planks and that was just fucking round. save your sympathy for Shrimp. I am sure this shit is roid related in some way and in that case I have brought this on myself. Too high a doses for too long. I am not 100% sure of that, but if I had to bet, I'd put my money on that. So no I am not asking for anyone's sympathy, what is wrong with me is my doing, I am sure.

Yeah bro, I don't know you at all, but other people's previous scams here in years past just caused some raised eyebrows when similar events happen today. So it's a part schtick, part humor, and part warning-this-happened-before kinda thing.

One month on pred/methylpred isn't bad, but for a couple months or more, that stuff's really dangerous -- most docs won't even prescribe it because the potential negatives outweigh the positives (keeping in mind the serious stuff they prescribe pred for, this means something...).

I'd speculate on what caused this, but you have doctors, and they know what's going on. Listen to them, and assume message board people know nothing (which is usually the case :D). I wouldn't think tumerous tissue in that area could be caused by gear, although a pre-existing condition could easily be aggrivated earlier than normal.

Pick up a text on neurology if you want to learn more and spend the time learning. I had like five surgeries for a reoccuring tumor in my head years ago, and learned how difficult it is to figure out root causes... and often, they simply don't exist. Educate self, and discuss with docs/surgeons. Remember, you're paying them a shit ton of money, so as the customer, demand to be lectured on everything until you understand as much as you desire. Also, surgeon's notes and clinic paperwork are YOURS -- ask to read it, as you will often learn details on the procedures, surgery, and other stuff that they don't openly discuss with patients. (Remember to return xrays or MRIs, as they will be originals that might be needed for further procedures or with other docs later.)

To add to Samoth's very good advice, never got to a consultation alone, always have someone, ideally someone not as emotionally involved with you as, say, your parents or wife. If you take good notes, do that, if not bring a recording device, seriously.

You can sit there, in their office, and they talk to you, and you hear them, you understand them, you have ZERO questions, it all makes complete sense, and one hour later it's like "WTF did he tell me about the ____?" It's not stupidity, it's a form of shock.

Meanwhile, for the physicians, talking about a tumor in your brain is vaguely like when your mechanic tells you that your car needs a new oxygen sensor. Since they aren't emotionally involved (let's be realistic and optimistic, they care and want to do a good job but they are NOT your spouse/lover/parent/sibling) and they do this stuff all the time, they're clearheaded and objective.
 
I know what you mean, I had zero ?'s and then I was like WTF was she talking about. My wife is a nurse and she has been by my side through it all. She can answer all my ?'s afterwards and is quick to ask the doctors whatever she feels we need to know. Quick to crawl ones ass to if they don't give her the info she wants.LOLOLOL

I am white as a sheet to. Been on some kinda antibiotic (doxycycline) of course I can't spell it. STFU Pick and Plank. No sun exposure. I am pretty much dried up and white as a ghost in the matter of a month. Funny how your circumstances can change in a heart beat.
