What's the profit margin in a new car? After you've paid the suppliers, the workers, and built all the pieces and assembled it, what percentage of that money is pure gravy?

'Cause I think that buying a Honda Accord, assembled by American workers in Marysville, OH, and with a higher Domestic Content percentage than either the Fusion or Malibu, does more for the US workers and economy than buying a Mexican-assembled Ford, even with the little bit of cash that goes back to Soichiro Honda in Tokyo.

butt the profit from the new car's sales is only a small percentage of the amount a manufacturer will make during the life of the vehicle with the bulk of profits cuming from service and repairs and corresponding parts and labor eventually finding its way to the HQ of the parent company
