Cardio after leg day?

I run a few times a week for cardio and was thinking about running one day after leg day. Anyone do this and did it short circuit your leg recovery from the gym the day before or was it ok?

i do it. i don't get sore too much anymore, but i notice after some cardio, stiffness is lessened.

i don't run though( i don't think i can afterwords)
treadmill. 3-3.5 MPH at 10-15 incline.

i hate carido its boring and it makes your squat numbers go down

i think this is the worst post ive seen at this site for a while.

light running after a leg workout ie. next day actually enhances recovery through blood flow.

sprinting also actually increases fast twitch muscle and helps squat but i would not sprint unless you're fresh possibly 2-3 days after leg day

I sometimes do some HIIT for 10 minutes after my leg workout but days after leg workouts I keep it to low intensity 3.5 mph at 8%-12% incline.

i do low intensity cardio after my workouts at 3.0-3.5 mph on the treadmill or elliptical. i dont get too sore after the leg workout, but the next day its extremely sore. keep the intensity low to moderate and youll be fine. my legs feel loosened up the next few days after a leg workout and actually makes my cardio a bit easier on the joints and shins. you guys are crazy with the 10-15 incline. i set mine at 1-2 tops, high inclines will work your leg muscles more

I dont enjoy it, why is that so bad?

So at christmas 2008 I squatted 225 for 4 reps to just above parrallel, from march onward Iv been doing lots of cardio but kept the heavy lifting. Right now I squat 200 x 3 to the same height, not drastically changed diet, not dropped supplements and not put in lots of high rep work, how would you explain this if it wasnt the extra cardio?

Low to moderate intensity cardio on the following day is good for recovery (increased blood flow, nutrient uptake). I find it useful for both legs (standing cycling, slow jog, strider) and back (stair case rider and to lesser extent rowing or elliptical)

Just remember if your bulking that you need to offset these cals with food.

Really...? Go climb under a rock...

I LOVE doing cardio after doing legs. Since all the blood flow is down in your lower body anyway, high intensity cardio, or any variation is great. It really keeps your heart rate up, and is an amazing way to shed off excess cals.

LOL I do cardio after leg days. I don't do it the day of legs. My squat numbers don't go down. I do fine. I think it can help recovery as well so long as you dont overdo it.

maybe you're going full depth now?

maybe you're over foing it and have digressed?

I tried the stairmill after legs the other day and did horribly. Could hardly move my hips after 7 minutes.

I'll switch to treadmill after legs. I don't like running cause it bothers my joints.

I don't think there is anything wrong with it if you don't over do it...If you run too much, your body may adapt to that activity more than heavy weightlifting, which I think EM was getting at...
