It's funny for me to read these responses because I've been around enough to know that overall, dosages are WAY higher than they used to be. They're just not quite as high as they were maybe 4-5 years ago. I think that's the perspective of age.
Back in the 60's guys were doing a couple of dbol a day. Some of them looked pretty damn good.
In the 70's the envelope was pushed and some pros were doing bigger cycles, but still not passing a half a gram.
In the 80's it was rampant and guys like Duchaine were renegades -- amateurs that were willing to do whatever it took to get bigger. And in his book he was suggesting 6 weeks cycles of 500-600 mgs a week and it was considered OUTRAGEOUS!
In the 90's steroids went mainstream and Muscle Media 2000 came right out and told people that if they want to look better, they needed gear. Dan's suggestions were advocated.
In the early 2000's message boards became the sole source of info and the internet allowed for easy access to drugs. Self proclaimed experts who were just moron kids hiding behind computer screens in their mother's basement started popping up promoting the "there's no such thing as too much" concept and before long there was no limit to what anyone was using.
By 2007 or so people started getting wise. They realized it's training and diet and genetics. And if you have those in order, you don't need a lot of gear. And those who don't would never really be any good unless they stayed on high dosages forever and common sense tells you that's not a good idea. SUpplements are also a lot better than ever and anyone who is a serious bodybuilder would take advantage of that.
Where are all those "experts" from a few years ago? Where's Fonz and Juice Authority and Satchboogie and Ulter?
Losers, every one of them.
They have no rep, no career and no muscle. Meanwhile, look at some of the guys from the 60's and 70's who are IN their 60's! They STILL look better than most of the guys on message boards doing 2 grams a week.
History leaves clues. Wise men find them and fools ignore them.
Yea, but those guys from the past were a lot smaller too, no need for a lot of gear. Now most ppl want to be 250lbs +
From what I remember or read somewhere most BBs back then were no more than 200-210 lbs give or take and that was a heavy weight
I do agree that if you just want to look decent and go back to your normal life in the future without being on HRT doing 500mg of gear is plenty.
