Guy is "texting", not calling, his child before the movie even started. Old dude gets explained that guy is texting his young child but still won't stfu. Old dude gets up to report the guy to the theater...who couldn't give a crap about someone texting before the movie has even begun previews. Old dude gets back, talks some more shit cause now he's gotten his pistola out of the car. Guy finally throws popcorn at him......and gets shot. This is why americans can't have guns. This is not an isolated incident. People just don't know how to cope and diffuse, even with the most rudimentary and simplistic of situations. Would be nice for people to be able to handle the responsibility of carrying a firearm but fact is this culture has bred the reason and sense out of us. If even a retired cops now are helpless to resist the impulse to shoot someone who's annoyed them...than wtf? We were a fundamentally different species all together when the 2nd amendment was written. :(

I went to high school with kids that had a gun rack in their 4 wheel drive with a rifle and shotgun...in the parking lot.;Not a single school shooting from adults or teens. We were raised to shoot and hunt from an early age and lesson #1 is to never point a weapon at something you aren't willing to kill. I think the more important question is why rural high gun ownership communities that are just as poor as the inner city have much lower firearm violence rates than cities.

When the Howard gubment cracked down on gun ownership after the Port Arthur massacre murder rate fell by more than 50%. All other violent crime fell as well. But crime had been on a downward trend for a long time anyway. What went down most is the suicide rate. Turns out most people who contemplate suicide don't actually go through with it if it takes any kind of planning/effort. But if you have a gun then suicide is so easy. Just a trigger pull away.

America now has more guns than people. That's what I heard, don't shoot me if I'm wrong. So maybe you're too far gone to do anything about gun presence in society anyway. I don't know if restricting gun ownership will change anything at this stage. All I can say is that living in a society where nobody (except law enforcement) has guns is statistically much safer. Homocide rate in my state is around 1 per 100k. Much rarer than car accidents, hospital screw ups, work place fatalities etc.

Basically you don't need a gun if nobody else has one.

In the US more people die from car accidents than gun violence per 100k people...Maybe we shouldn't have cars? BTW, the US is waging a war on "terror" and a US citizen is seven times more likely to be murdered by a police officer than a terrorist....After all, as long as the government is providing the statistics on how successful they are at protecting their livestock from outside predation...

Ban all firearms in the US and there wouldn't be firearms in the US just like plants that can't be grown in the US are more concentrated than ever before in the US. Have a three thousand mile border and make wild claims about gun violence. The US didn't have a an organized crime problem which lead to countless acts of gun violence until prohibition. Let us just ignore Portugal and their legalization efforts....I enjoy looking at firearm deaths in Switzerland....A country that mandates every military age male have a true assault rifle in their house with subsidized ammo from the government.

I'd just fight dude. Honest to god I would rather die fighting with my hands than potentially live because I opened fire in a crowded area and dropped all kinds of strangers. Dudes who feel the need to walk around with guns "everywhere" are poosie ngr fgt bitches. Having guns at the home is one thing, i'm all for it. This idea that if y'all just had firearms tucked away in your panties at all hours of the day the world would be a safer place....is utterly absurd. Carrying a gun around outside of your home should be one of the highest privileges afforded to the most capable citizens and the most sound of mind. Very few of you would qualify for that category. The ex military guys though are at the front of the line. If anybody can open fire in a an actual firefight with the least possibility of spraying their fire, it's them. This is due to the "years" they've put in with their firearms. If you can unequivocally "prove" that level of mastery, than fine.

I'd just fight dude. Honest to god I would rather die fighting with my hands than potentially live because I opened fire in a crowded area and dropped all kinds of strangers. Dudes who feel the need to walk around with guns "everywhere" are poosie ngr fgt bitches. Having guns at the home is one thing, i'm all for it. This idea that if y'all just had firearms tucked away in your panties at all hours of the day the world would be a safer place....is utterly absurd. Carrying a gun around outside of your home should be one of the highest privileges afforded to the most capable citizens and the most sound of mind. Very few of you would qualify for that category. The ex military guys though are at the front of the line. If anybody can open fire in a an actual firefight with the least possibility of spraying their fire, it's them. This is due to the "years" they've put in with their firearms. If you can unequivocally "prove" that level of mastery, than fine.

My husband saved my life with a gun he was legally carrying, along with the lives of several family members that were inside our vehicle, in close quarters. The guy he shot was a felon and shouldn't have legally been in posession of a firearm. You think telling people they can't carry is going to stop the gangbangers?

Of course. But when you have friends at the Houston PD, it's awful easy to convince someone that all you were doing was asking for a little gas money, and that the unregistered .380 at the scene wasn't yours. White boy just shot you cause he got scared...
