Zwhit can't even afford Applebee's by the looks of that shoe box he calls a house. He makes Nan look like a 1%er

My wife is a nurse and we all know what a shitty job that is

Only thing worse than being a nurse is being a male nurse

What kind of nurse is she? Is she an RN? Has she ever worked as an international ICU flight nurse? Well I was for 3 years and they make a TAD bit more than the average nurse.

It's the most coveted and lucrative nursing job that I've ever found. It sucked though bc I would be on call for 2 weeks at a time and would have to fly out on only 45min notice. Not to mention the airfield was 40min from me. Being on call is the worst fucking thing ever invented. FACT

weren't you working in a hospital?

I worked 1yr ICU step down, 3yrs Medical/Surgical/trauma ICU, 3yrs flight nurse, 2yrs ER and now an occupational nurse. I'm starting a nurse practitioner program in roughly a year with a specialty in trauma.

Not all nurse jobs are created equally. My mom made solid money as an ER/infection control nurse, and that was 25 years ago.

A lot of people don't understand the different pay grades within the nursing field. It's just like any other job, the more education and critical skills you have for a specialty, the more $ you make

she's an RN in NICU but wants to do something else, just hasn't decided exactly what

If that's what she's been doing her entire career it could be a rough transition. Babies(especially neonates) are a completely different type of care than adults.

yeah that's pretty much what's stopping her right now. She loved nicu until she transferred to the hospital she works at now, which is in a bigger shithole of a city. Says she can't handle the drug/alcohol abuse neonates. Fucks with her head

Did your wife give birth at the hospital you both work at?

My parents met working at the hospital. My mom with being an ER nurse/head of infection control, and my dad was overseeing the buying of surgical supplies. The whole hospital (all of their colleagues) knew they were "trying" to have a baby, so when I was finally born, The doctors whisked me away to visit with all the hospital staff before my mom even barely had a chance to hold me lol.

That's f'd up

I always thought the same lol. My mom thinks it's funny, but, WTF? I feel like my mom earned more than five minutes of baby cuddle time. But all re-tellings of my birth, from parents and hospital staff alike, include a mention of how quickly the doctor who delivered me snatched me away to show off S and J's baby around the hospital.

Well in all fairness I bet you were probably worth showing off babe!

My wife delivered at one of the six her group is contracted through. Our entire experience was pretty awesome actually, starting with her pregnancy. Her OB is our neighbor, friend and walking partner; which has been extremely convenient. Every single one of her nurses while she was an inpatient was hand picked by the nursing director. She was given a room on a completely different floor so she would have a large, quiet private room; her nurse would specifically float and have only her as a patient. We especially got over the top treatment from the ER residents doing their OB rotation at the time bc they directly work under her. I can't wait for her to have another baby, I felt like a fucking rock star.

Is your mom still an ER nurse? That's one of those fields that you either love for life or get burned out on after too long.

I know what you mean though, my wife delivered at her hospital, on the floor she works on with pretty much all her friends on staff lol... it was actually pretty cool
