We should start a thread to share all the interesting stories from what we see.. I love seeing these people.. the stuff they do is hilarious..

when i was new I was 15ish and i went to the library and checked out the maximum amount of books on training i could find and i learned.. combine that with a great weightlifting coach in high school and it was easy to pick it up.

most of these morons just show up at the gym and don't even attempt to learn proper weightlifting they just go there to play around. as long as they stay out of my way i really don't care. luckily my gym is big and it has a low population so it isn't a problem, if it was a high traffic gym then it would be a major issue

I was amused at how many responses recommended bicep/tricep/flys/cable exercises. NO ONE but me recommended ANY of what I call the six essentials, especially for newcomers. Not to mention the dietary recommendations were shit.

If you're a newb, this is all you have to do for a while. Ancillaries are a waste of time, for the most part.

Even if you are a seasoned weightlifter, these are essential in my opinion. These are staples of every workout plan I follow.

The gym noobs are definitely increasing. Its been harder to get to the squat rack, people are tying up multiple machines, and nobody is re racking their weights.

Makes me want to frisbee some 45lb plates at their kneecaps
 
I seen a new guy doing the most fucked up shit i ever saw with cables.

i think it was suppose to be shrugs ....but who the fuck knows what was going on inside his head.

wtf is up with the dudes wearing tights under shorts. Or the dudes that wear that ridiculous looking biking outfits to the gym.

New years sucks, and it takes 6-8 weeks for it to start slowing down.

Squatting backwards on the hack squat machine is actually legit bro. The guy is probably a tool but its legit. Its way more like a real squat than a hack is. Hack squats are the worst. Its honestly more trouble than its worth though.

I noticed a few extra homos today I have not seen before. Dressed all nice in their carefully put together sweat suits. What I really love is the first thing a dude gets when he decides to get into this shit(until he fails) is gloves. Looking all scrawny in their gloves and hoodie lolololol catching a glimpse of themselves in the mirror trying not to make it obvious but the look on their face says it all..."mmm yeah....mmmm fuck yeah...I'm gonna get ripped"

What sucks is I actually use gloves for Bi's only. it gives me leverage and takes a lot of my forearm out of the rep. But I don't even wanna use them now....

I tried gloves. I was getting tired of the callouses and my fucked up rough hands touching my girls soft skin. They actually lasted about a week.
 
I use gloves :) but I'm a girl and I like my hands to be as soft as a babies bottom

That's the only bad side to not wearing gloves... is the girls. Or rubbing your face lol. I actually like playing with my callouses, gives me stuff to do.

I think most girls prefer man hands, I do. If not they are too high maintenance anyways.

Yeah a lot of people coming and some that could not pay ,my wife is working a the gym and a little daddy boy come and dont pay is month and split on my wife face result she call me, im the big guy at this gym ,he will never come back, we have snow here and i think he now love eating snow .

saw a guy the other day with a hoodie (keep in mind I am in FL and my gym is hot year round), he had gloves, a belt of course, and he had sunglasses (my gym is barely lit).. and he barely worked out.. he would do a set then go talk to these two chicks between sets for like 8 minutes then slowly walk back and do another set.

You should have hit him in the face with the lat pull down bar. Like right in the orbital bone. Then choked him to death with the triceps rope.
 
Got it beat: kid this AM; wearing gym pants, tank top, & a scarf wrapped like a neck brace.

I thought it was a neck brace cuz WHO THE F WEARS A SCARF?
