i think theres a few guys that deserve consideration... lebron, durant and tony parker... lebron is probably going to take it but these are your top 3 for the award...

I think Durant is a great scorer for sure! And he will be one of the top dogs in the near future.
I've like Parker since he came in the league but I don't think he gets the credit he deserves.
And PS its been announced LEBRON IS THE MVP!
he deserves it but if doesnt win a title, he wont be getting another one

The way I see it yes Michael Jordan was a great player BUT look at the talent level and how much it has raised since mj left, there wasn't as many good players when he played, granted there was some but now a days there is just so much fuckin talent I think Kobe has just about matched him I mean he's only one ring short.... And I bet if Kobe were to ever own a team he would never let them get the fuckin worst record in history!

Shaq was THE BEST player in the league for A LONG TIME and more than half of those rings are because of Shaq... Shaq won again, without Kobe, way after his prime, on a Miami Heat team with a VERY YOUNG Dwayne Wade and pretty much a bunch of role players... Kobe was barely making 7 and 8 seeds when shaq left, losing in the 1st round every year to the Suns, until they got Gasol... Trust me, I was living in L.A. and they were garbage...
The Lakers were not beating ANYONE in the finals... They beat the fucking Nets, with kidd, kittles and richard jefferson... come on man... seriously? and the 76ers who had Iverson and??????? NOONE... eric fucking snow??????? come on man...
So now those points are made, here's another one... Look at most of the nba championship teams in history... 80% of them had dominant big men on their team... there are a very few that are exceptions...

After Jordan won his first title, do you realize HE NEVER LOST AGAIN?? The ONLY time he lost in the playoffs after his first title was when he came back late in the season and unretired from baseball... That was THE ONLY TIME and that doesn't count... Otherwise, HE NEVER LOST...
Do you realize how many hall of fame players never got titles because of him? Malone, Stockton, Reggie Miller, Ewing, Barkley, Dominique, the list goes on and on...
You can't in your right mind tell me the players now are better than they were then... They are more athletic now, but skill wise, its not even close... The guys in the 80's and early 90's had so much more skill in terms of shooting and actually playing fundamental basketball that its not even close... It's not as fun to watch, but good fundamentals almost always beat the "exciting team"... I would rather watch the exciting team, but why do you think the fucking Spurs always win? Fundamentals...
The teams that Jordan had to beat in comparison to the Laker teams are not even close... The two teams the Lakers had to beat that were good were the Trailblazers (one year) and the kings...
Jordan beat the lakers with magic, the Suns with barkley, kevin johnson, etc... (that team was fucking loaded) the Trailblazers with Drexler (Another loaded team) the supersonics with kemp and payton and detlef, and the jazz that was just fucking loaded... These are just the teams in the finals they beat... They had those hardcore series with the pacers, heat, knicks... the knicks had so much talent on those teams.. starks, ewing, larry johnson, etc... the pacers with reggie miller, the heat with zo, fuck jordan had so much in terms of competition, way more than kobe... its not even comparable...
Jordan had great role players, I am not saying he didn't, but only one other superstar, who when he didn't play with jordan, never won shit... when kobe and shaq split, shaq still won... pippen never won shit... pippen was great but he would never have been a superstar if jordan wasn't getting all the attention he was getting...
if you truly go back and watch the film, start to finish, and see what jordan did throughout his career, it trumps kobe by a long shot... and you know what, i still think kobe is a top 10 all time player... that's how good mj is...
jordan played with far superior competition... in the 80's it was magic, bird, kareem, isiah, dominique, then on to malone, reggie, ewing, stockton, payton, barkley, hakeem, drexler, zo, mullin, hardaway, rice, the list goes on and on... THESE ARE ALL HALL OF FAMERS...

The bench in LA does suck this year, but the bench isn't much better in Miami.
As for best players right now, it is Lebron. If it wasn't he wouldn't be MVP.

Flat out, Oklahoma City is just a better team than the Lakers... talent wise, they may be the best in the league... I am worried about the series with the Spurs but after looking really closely at the matchups, I think this series is going 7... I truly hope Westbrook shines against Parker... That's going to be a key matchup... I think that Ibaka and Perkins will neutralize Duncan... The Spurs don't have anyone that can stop Durant at all... The thing I worry about with the Spurs is their fucking role players are just great... They always have the best role players, hands down... I really want OKC to go all the way but I think its clear that whoever wins the West is going all the way...

Yeah OKC does have a great team and the series against the Spurs is going to be insane. Team Fundamentals VS Team young gunners.

All I have to say is that Lakers are my squad forever I'd rather see the west take it then the easy so I'm going for OKC even tho I'm in Texas don't really like the spurs.

Imo I don't even think Dwight had "back surgery" because he didn't go to any of the playoff games this year cause the doc said no traveling! Being the leading scorer means one thing, still on the playoffs. Hows Kobe doing?
I'm saying if it was durant where Kobe is, he would most likey still be the scoring champ, but dude you know damn well that doesn't mean anything the fuckin thunder are STACKED they built from the ground up alllll the wau from back in Seattle and now they have the best squad (IMO) my $$$ was on the from the beginning, they have more talent all in 1 team than any team and their elite players are all 24 or under they are sick.
Scoring champ don't mean shit honestly you can have that all you want and if u don't have help on ur team ur fucked, like Kobe.
OKC has so much talent, and... IMO James Hardin should be the starter but they are using that to their advantage just like LA does NOT have a bench James Hardin produces the spark off the bench, he averages atleast 20 points a game and he comes off the bench, sefolosha (spelling?) is NOT better than him by any means but like I said he comes off the bench and creates the spark that any team needa off the bench, he will start but he will win a ring this year off of the bench and for this team that is stacked he needs to stay there IMO just because they know they can pull startes and put him at pg,sg, or even sf and he will have success and give starters rest.
Thats totally true. I have to admit the Laker bench is one of the worst I've seen in a long time and OKC is stacked to the tits. I live close to Seattle so I have always been a Sonic fan and once they left it was a joke. If someone can play anywhere, no matter how bad the bench or great I think it speaks volumes. LA I think needs to rebuild the team from the ground up and put the main focus on Bynum.
Durant off the bench is crazy, the mofo would be a starter anywhere else in the league! I still dont know why LA was willing to get rid of Odom, for nothing. He was last years best bench player without a doubt. I don't know what the hell they were thinking.
They need to get a supporting cast and fast. My only issue is can Kobe play with another top tier player? I don't think he can, he wants to be number one and only number one. I think Wade and Lebron had the same problem until Wade stepped aside and told Lebron that its his team. Similar to what Shaq did in Miami when he first played there. He told Wade its his team to lead and that Wade is the go to guy.
With no other threats on the LA roster you know almost 90% of the time the ball is going to Kobe, you can't win like that.

I didn't say durant off the bench I said Hardin man, and yeah Kobe does but he also realizes he's not getting any younger so he's gonna have to let someone come with him.
And I agree getting rid of Odom was STUPID he could come in at the 3 spot of the 4 and score, idk what the deal was but they made mistakes this year.
I think the whole bench needs to go and Gasol and sessions have to go, Kobe's got ATLEAST 3 years left so they need to concentrate on what their gonna do to help him while they have him. I think trade Pau for Marc (his younger brother) since pau's contract is so much I think they could swing Marc and then idk what to do honestly at point everyone is pretty set I wouldn't even know who to think, I'd say I know Boston has been talkin rondo trade... They need to help Kobe out badly that team has gone down hill and it basically is a one man show. If Rondo goes there that would help out alot. Hes not the best shooter but hes a great point guard like you said. Worse case scenario, Nash but I don't think that will happen.

That was and always will be Shaqs team... Kobe's problem will always be that he feels he has to do too much... When he distributes yet still gets his, they normally win, but he feels like he has to shoot 30 shots a game and maybe score 40 but his fg% is in the 30's, they never win that way... They have THE BEST big man combo in the NBA and don't utilize it... Now, Gasol has had like a fucking mental breakdown or something because he is nowhere near he was a few years ago, but he still has game left... Bynum could seriously be the best big in the game if he wasn't such a fucking little kid... ( I would like to kick his fucking ass with that attitude he has) but the Lakers definitely had the opportunity to go all the way if Kobe didn't try to do too much... Their lack of a PG doesn't help, but lets face it, derek fisher was never exactly superstar material and they won with him all those years... As far as Durant and Kobe... Here's the thing... I agree 100% that winning a scoring title does not make you the best or better player, but the fact that Durant can be the scoring champion, playing alongside a guy like Westbrook, who takes just as many if not more shots than him, is amazing... Considering the amount of shots that have to be distributed between durant, westbrook and harden alone, his scoring title is amazing... Kobe does not have ANYONE like that on his team... Gasol and Bynum don't take many shots unless they are put back rebounds... They get some shots but nowhere near the amounts a westbrook type player would take... If were talking overall careers, of course Kobe is hands down the man... I would take him over anyone in the game that is active right now if were talking OVERALL careers but at this point in time, even though I still think he is a top 3 player, hes not the best right now... Im not huge Lebron fan, but lets face facts here, LeBron is the best player in the nba... Hes not the best winner, but hes got more talent than anyone out there and if thats not obvious then your just not watching the game closely enough... Durant and Kobe and very close but Durant is just getting better and better and better and Kobe is slowly sliding... Kobe is still the fucking man, trust me, but his game is not getting better... Another thing... the west is about to start changing... Your going to see dominance from OKC and Memphis and there's a few teams that are going to make their moves... Minnesota, Houston and if the Clippers keep their team in tact... Memphis' entire starting lineup is signed long term... If zach randolph didn't get hurt all season then I think you would be looking at memphis possibly going all the way... Minnesota is going to be very dangerous... Kevin Love is quickly working his way up to a top player and they are young and dangerous and I think we all saw what the Clippers can do in just one year of playing together... OKC has the squad though and if they stay healthy and on the same team, they are going to be the team to beat in the west...
The east is just all fucked up... boston will be dismantled... the bulls are always injured... not just rose, but deng, boozer, etc... always an injury... orlando is all fucked up... your looking at teams like philly, indiana and as odd as this sounds, washington is going to make a move... they played crazy good at the end of the year and they have the talent... ahhh fuck, its washington, they will figure out a way to lose... its really the Heats to lose for a while unless there are some drastic moves made...
