Hey guys, I'm competing in my first show a week from today. My food cravings are out of control. But I was just looking to hear from some of you guys that have competed and then afterwards just pigged out. How long did you guys pig out before you starting eating clean again. I know im going to gain weight but I dont want to gain a shit ton of weight. I was thinking about Sunday night after the show and monday pretty much eating whatever the hell I want and then maybe by Wednesday or Thursday start cleaning it up. But still probably will be going out to eat with some of my friends. Any input from you guys would be awesome. thanks

Good luck in your show...I remember my first show in 2005, it is an awesome experience bro and this week is the week that will make or break you, so keep the cravings at bay, reduce sodium, carb deplete, hydrate, carb load, paint on ProTan, oh the fun you will have this week! So as far as your post contest splurge you really need to be careful, I know most will indulge in whatever but you need to think about one thing...your body is going to be depleted and will react like a dry sponge...and being sodium depleted as well, your body is going to absorb. You want to ease back into sodium intake for at least a week, don't go and eat a large pepperoni pizza or anything that has a ton of sodium in it...you will bloat up like a whale, lose all the hard earned definition, and put your heart at risk. Sweets on the other hand you don't have to be as careful as you do with sodium. After my 1st competition I was like man I want to eat everything I could get my hands on...but thank God I had me trainer with me to watch over me...I wanted a big juicy burger, but the burger patty had to not be seasoned, and only a dollup of ketchup due to the sodium in it...no fries, no salt except whatever sodium is naturally occurring in food. I did have cheesecake for desert, but you really need to think about it...you have just got in the best shape of your life, don't you want to keep your physique this way.for a little while? Don't go nuts on sodium rich foods as your body will absorb water that much more and you will bloat up! I had a buddy of mine eat an entire pizza after his first show and he ate whatever he wanted sodium and all! He put on like 30 lbs in 3 days after his show...no joke! Everyone said he looked shit 3 days after his show, and he.got sick too. So just watch yourself, think of a desert like ice cream or cheesecake, but don't have a seasoned steak or anything like that...it won't be good for you.

Good luck and let us know how you do bro! I can't wait to get back on stage!

Hey man, thanks for the good luck i appreciate it. I am currently carb depleting and sodium and water loading. Its fun stuff, i love eating boiled chicken and broc. every 2 hrs! haha but yeah man I know some of my friends that have gained upwards of 30 pounds after shows, but they did look pretty sick still. I have so much junk food that i bought and stashed away haha so thats why I am asking. I just feel like its gonna be hard for me to not eat it since i have been dieting for 19 weeks. You know? i kinda just want to reward myself for a few days then it will be back on the grind trying to gain nice lean mass. I am going out to Red Lobster right after, so you think thats a bad idea then? cause im sure there is nothing there with low sodium. haha. anyways i appreciate the advice and the good luck wishes. I will for sure let you know how everything turns out. as of right now everything looks great, just somewhat holding a bit of water on my lower stomach. hoping that it comes down once i drop water/sodium.

Thanks. I go to school at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. probably never have heard of it lol but they have a show every year. Its called Mr. And Ms. Sru. I'm starting out with a small show to see how things go and if i want to do another one or not.
