Soon, it will get to the point where you don't need a second computer. You can use an Apple TV as a Mac Mini Mini.

I'd like to figure out how to make Apple TV work with a real TV (yes, a CRT set, which is what I like). We have an Apple TV, and it only works on flat screen sets with HDMI inputs WITH integrated audio. DVI and HDMI are the same signal, but DVI has no way to put audio through. And since Apple TV has no analog audio output, you can't get audio. And even if you get past that, it won't work unless the TV is of a specific type and is Apple-approved. So our Apple TV is in a box in the closet. I do have CRT sets with 1080i HDMI and DVI, but the Apple TV is locked out on those.
