Lean beef. Plus bread crumbs, milk, egg, parmesan, some "Italian herbs", garlic, onion, a bit of mustard powder. Basically, I took a meatloaf recipe and modified it. Browning on the stove top in a pan full of red sauce I made a couple of weeks ago. The red sauce "needed something", so I thought cooking the meatballs in it would fix it.

Cooking now, it smells amazing!
 
The meatballs turned out great. The sauce they were cooked in, not so much. It "cooked down" a bit too much. I need to add a lot more tomato.

I don't think it implies to us. Cali has its own Santa Claus he rocks shorts and Nike Air Max's while driving a red Lambo with the top down.
