i'll cut right to the chase here.
i'm 21 years old, 6'0" tall, and 125 lbs, and my pedigree includes a long line of hopelessly scrawny guys on the paternal side of my family. at my age, my father was 5'9" and 130 lbs, my grandfather was 5'10" and 117 lbs, and i am told that my great-grandfather was skinny too. in fact my grandfather was in the navy for six years, and he left only five pounds heavier than when he joined, in stark contrast to his peers.
i've seen several trainers, tried a lot of different regimens and diets, and, while building muscle is very difficult, the most frustrating part is that i have to work so damn hard to hold on to each and every ounce of it.
my testosterone tested at 437 ng/dL, which i think is low-normal, and i am looking to perhaps double this; nothing more unless absolutely necessary. i'm not looking to get real stacked. i just want something subtle and generally SAFE that will make the struggle to hold on to existing muscle mass a little easier. i was looking into nolvadex and clomid and am wondering which, if either, would be a good adjunct to my existing workout/diet program. or, do you think something else entirely would be a better fit?
i read that nolvadex and clomid work similarly, but that, mg per mg, nolvadex is stronger. is there an exact conversion rate for this? cost-effectiveness is important to me. i have a nolvadex source at XXXX per 20 mg pill, vs clomid at XXX per 50 mg pill, so it all comes down to the conversion rate and what the equivalent dosages would be. i realize that i will probably be splitting pills here, which is okay because it's cheaper than buying smaller-strength pills (e.g. 10 mg nolvadex or 25 mg clomid).
