Military training?

This guy's not a fatty at all. More of a stringbean/stickboy type.

I remember at MEPS being required to pass an overhead press test on a universal machine...A stringbean could be put on remedial pt based on not being able to meet the strength requirement. I remember asking the chick if I could just lift the required amount and get it over with...she said no..you have to start at 60 pounds and work your way up to 140 pounds...really?
 
get into shape BEFORE basic training. Otherwise it will be hell and DS's will be on ur ass from day one.

Don't use the army as a weight loss tool.

Fatty or not fatty?

She started in the reserve system so she probably attended drills before attending bct..it's normal and they focus on the most basic military skills for those newly inducted like learning the rank system, saluting, and physical fitness. In reception the Army administered the PT test and had a fat boy and remedial pt program before you could even start training...
 
what java said ^^ ..my scheduling had more to do with an opening in my AIT and the fact that I skipped the first 8 weeks of AIT having enlisted under the CASP program (ie I was already a licensed medic beforehand/ no need to waste everyones time)

learning the ranking system and D&C ahead of time helped me not waste a lot of time thinking about that shit in BCT
and truth be told..it saved my ass with running because I didnt run and hated running before hand and always sucked shit with distance running
theyve changed it to your recruiter does a pt test on you to see where you're at

I was a pt studette by the time I got to basic

if it makes you feel better plunkey I always had to be taped for the bmi test because I weigh a gazillion lbs
